Greg "The Hammer" Valentine vs. Steve Muslin (10/12/83)

JIP with Valentine winning easily.

Steamer & Youngblood come out next with their newly won NWA World Tag Titles for a promo.

Flair then comes out for a crazed promo holding his aluminum bat about Race, Orton, & Slater and we get an overview with Orton promos when he was helping Flair including one with his oldest kids Meghan & David with Orton holding David. Sandy Scott then comes out and demands that Flair give up the bat which he does. Definite extra.

Piper is out next with another present for Valentine where he says that it's premature for the holiday season but Valentine and premature go together....awesome line. This is a repeat angle from the previous week on World Wide.

Jack & Jerry Brisco vs. John Bonello & Vinnie Valentine (10/12/83)

The Briscos are pissed and take it out on the jobbers here.

Valentine then comes out to get his present and this time he is leery but opens it anyway and of course it's the dog collar again. Valentine gets bleeped due to his anger. Extra material.

The Assassins vs. Scott McGhee & Mark Youngblood (10/12/83)

This is the rematch from the previous week but this time Dory Funk Jr. is at ringside with Paul Jones. Assassins are aggressive to start working over McGhee but the pace changed when Youngblood came in as he and McGhee started working over both Assassins' left legs. The legwork was very sound and the masked men fought back by working over Mark's back but the faces would still get their legwork in. At one point it really felt like the faces were going to win this before McGhee went for the mask of Assassin #2 which created confusion in the ring allowing Assassin #1 to headbutt him in the back with the loaded mask but even then McGhee got a German Suplex hold on Assassin #2. Assassin #1 though jumped off the top rope knee first in the ribs then covered to win. This match was even better than the match I nominated and this is a solid nomination to me.

Next we get a very young Tony Schiavone with Gary Hart, Lewin, Sullivan, Paul Jones, Assassins, Orton, & Slater about the Richmond show on 10/21.

Then we get a promo from McGhee & Youngblood about the match that just happened and they vow they will get revenge.

Chavo Guerrero & Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. "Golden Boy" Jerry Grey & Magic Dragon (10/12/83)

Chavo & Wahoo as a team is fucking awesome and this is Chavo's debut.

Next we get a promo from Race in an arena hallway and he says that he isn't coming back to JCP again as long as Flair is around.

Orton & Slater then cut a followup promo saying they are coming for Flair.

Then we get promos from Charlie Brown, Steamer, Youngblood, Flair, & Wahoo for the Richmond show on 10/21.

Bob Orton Jr. & "Mr. Unpredictable" Dick Slater vs. Keith Larsen & Rick McCord (10/12/83)

Flair runs out with a broom handle and fights both men by himself before Wahoo shows up to even the odds and this is a fun brawl as TV time runs out.

Brickhouse Brown, Charlie Brown (Jimmy Valiant), & Terry Gibbs vs. "Golden Boy" Jerry Grey, Kelly Kiniski, & Tom Lintz (10/12/83)

Brickhouse & Gibbs make their debuts here and Brick is a rookie. The teams here would make WAR proud.

Next we get another promo from Steamer & Youngblood with their newly won belts.

Jack & Jerry Brisco vs. Brett Hart & Gene Ligon (10/12/83)

Squash.

Then we get promos from Hart, Lewin, Sullivan, Jones, Assassins, Orton, & Slater for the Richmond show on 10/21.

Chavo Guerrero vs. Ben Alexander (10/12/83)

Spotlight match for Chavo.

The Assassins vs. John Bonello & Steve Muslin (10/12/83)

Easy win for the masked men.

Next we get promos from Weaver, Charlie Brown, Steamer, Youngblood, Flair, & Wahoo for the Richmond show on 10/21.

"Maniac" Mark Lewin & Kevin Sullivan vs. Mark Fleming & Vinnie Valentino (10/12/83)

Total squash.

Then we get a promo from Paul Jones & The Assassins.

Charlie Brown vs. "Golden Boy" Jerry Grey (9/28/83)

Valiant takes this easily but Baron Von Raschke would attack him afterwards and he ripped the mask off but Valiant covered his face up with the ring apron. The heels then gloated afterwards thinking that everyone saw it but no one didn't.

Next we get a promo from Ric Flair in his office wearing a neckbrace where he announces his retirement.......sure.......Definite extra.

Then we get promos from Orton, Slater, Hart, & Baron for the Richmond show on 10/7.

Next we get an Andre squash from WWF TV since he was heading in for a tour.

"Maniac" Mark Lewin & Kevin Sullivan vs. John Bonello & Vinnie Valentino (9/28/83)

Total mauljob here.

Then we get promos from Orton, Race, & Slater gloating over Flair's retirement. Extra material.

The Assassins vs. Keith Larsen & Rick McCord (9/28/83)

Assassins are dominant here.

Bob Orton Jr. & "Mr. Unpredictable" Dick Slater vs. Scott McGhee & Steve Muslin (9/28/83)

The faces got some offense in early keeping the heels on their toes and this was pretty competitive but the heels would start getting the advantage before Flair ran out in a neckbrace wielding the aluminum bat and he chased the heels out of the building. Flair then cuts an enraged promo afterwards. Definite extra.

Next we get promos from Rufus, Flair, Wahoo, & Charlie Brown for the Richmond show on 10/7.

Jay & Mark Youngblood vs. Magic Dragon & The Ninja (Mr. Pogo) (9/28/83)

Jay & Mark didn't team much at this time since Jay was teaming with Steamer regularly. The brothers take this fairly easily.

Rufus, an angry Charlie Brown, Wahoo close the show with promos.
