Posted January 18, 201411 yr comment_5580629 Bounty Match: "King Kong" Angelo Mosca vs. "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff (12/28/83) Gary Hart has a bounty on Mosca's head and now Uncle Ivan is trying to collect. Mosca has charisma but he isn't that good in the ring but Ivan does a good job here of carrying him along. Mosca had a good comeback here and had Ivan reeling before Kernodle ran out with a steel chair for the DQ. Next we get a promo from Slater about his match with Wahoo in Lynchburg on 1/6/84. The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Keith Larsen & Gene Ligon (12/28/83) Squash. Then we get a celebration promo from Hart, Kernodle, & Koloff. Next we get a promo from Roddy Piper talking about getting rid of all the managers in JCP along with Mosca. Piper would debut in WWF a week later. Then we get Tony Schiavone doing a remote from Ricky Steamboat's gym which was then in construction and he talked about his career saying that he was announcing his retirement because of his gym but said that if he was world champion he would still wrestle. Johnny Weaver almost cries at this news. Definite extra. "Mr. Unpredictable" Dick Slater vs. Mark Fleming (12/28/83) Easy win for Slater and he almost kills Fleming with a gutwrench as he lost Fleming in the air and almost dropped him on his head. Next we get a promo from Weaver about his match with Greg Valentine and Wahoo about his match with Piper in Lynchburg on 1/6/84. Dory Funk Jr. vs. Bill Howard (12/28/83) Dory as a face was always a hoot. Then we get a promo from Paul Jones & The Assassins. Angelo Mosca Jr. vs. John Bonello (1/4/84) Squash. Next we get a video explaining the Slater/Valentine feud and shows what was the last appearance by Piper on JCP TV. Slater then cuts a promo with David Crockett gloating about being a double champ. Then we get promos from Hart, Koloff, Kernodle, & Orton about the show in Lynchburg on 1/21. Dory Funk Jr. & Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. "Golden Boy" Jerry Grey & Hans Schroeder (1/4/84) Dory and Wahoo are quite the team. Next we get a promo from Valentine about losing the US title and being a loner because he has no friends. Rufus R. Jones vs. Tony Russo (1/4/84) Squash. Then we get a promo from Jimmy Valiant who is without his beard thanks to the Assassins & Paul Jones. This is a great promo and extra material. Next we get promos from Mosca Jr., Wahoo, Mosca Sr. about the Lynchburg show on 1/21. Gary Hart is out next with David Crockett talking about the Mosca feud. Don Kernodle & "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Keith Larsen & Vinnie Valentino (1/4/84) The jobbers give a good fight but fall in the end. Then we get a promo from the Mosca family followed up by a promo from Dory & Wahoo. "Mr. Unpredictable" Dick Slater vs. Keith Larsen (1/11/84) Slater takes his time putting Larsen away. Next we get a promo from Slater in the locker room along with the newly crowned NWA World Tag champs Kernodle & Orton then Slater gives Ivan the Mid-Atlantic title. Extra material. "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Bubba Douglas (1/11/84) Flair does commentary here and shows contempt for Slater giving the Mid-Atlantic title to Ivan. Funny seeing Bubba in JCP. Then we get promos from Ivan, Kernodle, & Orton about the Lynchburg show on 1/21. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine vs. John Bonello (1/11/84) Squash and a promo afterwards. The Assassins vs. Bubba Douglas & Michael Sam Houston (1/11/84) Yep that is the same Sam Houston in his first TV match. Then we get a promo from Mid-Atlantic with Paul Jones holding Valiant's beard they cut off which brings out Valiant who jumps Jones as the fans go nuts. Fun stuff. Angelo Mosca Jr. vs. Tony Russo (1/11/84) Easy win for Angelo. Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Ben Alexander (1/11/84) Ben takes some punishment here. Next we get promos from Wahoo & the Moscas about the Lynchburg show on 1/21. Rufus R. Jones & Mark Youngblood vs. Gary Royal & Hans Schroeder (1/11/84) Jay Youngblood is at ringside on crutches. This was actually competitive. Hart comes out next with his newest charge "Big Cat" Ernie Ladd for a promo.
