Posted January 24, 201411 yr comment_5581844 Yuu Yamazaki comes out to "You Spin Me Round", but Oz is the one who actually comes out dressed like Pete Burns, so Yuu takes offense, and they start getting into on the apron. In absence of further backstory on why these two don't like each other, I'm choosing to believe that's the issue. And they definitely don't like each other - Oz charges Yamazaki at the bell and hits the most hateful sunset flip I've ever seen, followed by a vicious neckbreaker takedown. She spends the next few minutes finding a whole bunch of different ways to wreck Yamazaki's shit, including a nasty takedown into a short-arm scissors and a great springboard crossbody. Considering Oz had been wrestling for less than a year at this point, it's really impressive how much stuff she already had and how well she did it all. Her run gets cut short when Yamazaki counters an Irish whip into a 619 that catches Oz in the gut but good. Yuu starts to give Oz a taste of her own medicine, but Oz's spunkiness makes it hard to keep her down for very long. Yuu manages to counter a side headlock into a gnarly backdrop driver. Oz really undersells it, and ends up going back on offense, but she can't keep it up for long, so I won't hold it against the match too much. She tries a tombstone, but Yuu counters it into a running one, and when that doesn't get the pin, she just blasts her with a pair of enzuigiris to get the win. Awesome match. I don't think I've ever seen Yamazaki before, but she really kicked ass here. Oz showed some greenness to be sure, but given how little experience she had at this point, I was amazed by how far she had already come along. Solid nomination.
