Posted January 29, 201411 yr comment_5583074 Mike Rotundo vs. Doug Vines (10/17/84) Rotundo looks solid here. Next we get a promo from Kernodle & Koloffs about Dusty & Manny. The Assassin vs. Ultimate Assassin (10/17/84) Ultimate Assassin is Johnny Weaver which was a fun gimmick and made it obvious since he used the Weaver Lock along with Caudle basically confirming it on commentary. Fun little match and I loved Assassin pinballing for Ultimate. Assassin would go for Ultimate's mask but failed and Paul Jones would come in and accidentally hit Assassin with the cane with Weaver's mask coming off. Weaver then pinned Assassin while Jones slowly made his way to the back. Like I said fun but there wasn't enough here for a nomination. "Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez vs. Mark Fleming (10/17/84) Easy win for Bull. Jones is out next with the Zambuie Express as Caudle asks him about the Assassin deal which he doesn't really want to talk about just the Zambuies. Assassin then comes out and is pissed off about it cutting a strong promo as Jones hides behind the Zambuies. Assassin was so great. The Long Riders (Ron Bass & Black Bart) vs. Brett Hart & Sam Houston (10/17/84) The Riders win fairly quickly. Dusty is out next with Caudle talking about the tag titles and Starrcade. Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Joel Deaton (10/17/84) Deaton the jobber was fiery here but Wahoo took care of him with relative ease. Jones is back out and tells Caudle that he is going to straighten out Assassi saying that he is the boss which brings out a still pissed off Assassin who brings Jones to his knees with the Zambuies coming out but Assassin leaves on his own. This whole Assassin deal is extra material. NWA World TV Title: Tully Blanchard © vs. Brian Adias (10/17/84) Tully also puts up $10,000 as well. Adias comes out strong here taking it to Tully putting him in the Airplane Spin which knocked down Tommy Young and Adias had Tully pinned but there was no ref. Adias then takes Tully's money and throws it in the crowd with Tully getting up and attacking him. Adias fought back and the bell rang for the DQ as Adias sent Tully running. Tully then cuts a damn good promo afterwards about the situation. Really good way to make Adias look strong here. Mike Rotundo vs. Mark Fleming (10/17/84) Another strong win for Mike. Adias is out next for a promo talking about his issues with Tully. "Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez vs. Jeff Sword (10/17/84) Bull takes his time putting Sword away here and after the match he gets attacked by Kernodle & Ivan where they take him out with the flying Russian Sickle. Dusty would run them off though with a bullrope. The Long Riders (Ron Bass & Black Bart) vs. Denny Brown & Keith Larsen (10/17/84) The heels are dominant working over Denny but Larsen comes in and shows some fire before the heels get the best of him. Wahoo is out next talking about being the US champ and how everyone is scared of him. American Starship (Coyote & Eagle) vs. Joel Deaton & Doug vines (10/17/84) God, Hall & Spivey were so green here. Jones is out next and tells David Crockett that Assassin is now on good terms with him. Dusty then comes out and gives an update on Bull and calls out Wahoo. Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Brett Hart (10/17/84) The future Barry Horowitz gives Wahoo a fight but Wahoo is way too much for him in the end. Tully then comes out talking about being the champ and looking for his perfect 10 as well as the Adias deal. The Zambuie Express (Mr. Elijah Akeem & Mr. Kareem Muhammad) vs. Mike Davis & Sam Houston (10/17/84) The faces are scrappy but are no match for the big men. Assassin is now with Crockett and says that he is through with Paul Jones in a great promo.
