With their reunion and having never seen one of their tag matches, I watched this to check out a Golden Lovers match. This was awesome. Fun, energetic beginning quickly gives way to an outstanding extended home stretch. It's non-stop spots but never loses the feel of a competitive match, and they're all selling in a way that makes it believable. They maximize the value of the big spots by not blowing all their finishers earlier on but saving the big signature moves for really hot nearfalls at the very end. A couple very well timed and spectacularly executed big dives also serve a major highlights of the match. This is the best kind of spotfest, spectacular moves at a breakneck pace, but the work matters, has a sense of progression, feels competitive and the near falls have real drama. Strongly recommended.
