Posted August 1, 200520 yr comment_3042362 As some of you know, I'm a big animation mark. Any chance I get to pick up some classic animation on DVD, I jump at it. Here's the story: There's a 10 DVD set released in Japan of all the MGM Tom and Jerry cartoons up till the 60s. There's two versions of the set, the harder to get version has the cartoons uncut (a few had un-PC blackface gags) but most are edited. I have a copy of the edited set, and someone on eBay is claiming to have the uncut set for sale. I made a deal to buy it from him, but there's something troubling me. He won't directly answer the question if it's really uncut or not, but I get the vibe its because he really doesn't know the difference. Considering he has "No Refunds" listed in the item description, I'm hesitant to send money to someone who can't clearly answer a question. Worst case, I could sell a set on eBay, but I retired from selling due to too many assholes. Is it unreasonable to think someone selling a product as uncut should be able to verify that?
