Posted August 2, 200520 yr comment_3056157 The convertor has gone kaput. Thankfully, I have a 3 year warranty so I'll just get it switched out. It was bound to happen esp. since I have been burning around the clock non-stop for three months straight. Tomorrow, I'll go to Best Buy and replace it but it will cause delays pertaining to VHS to DVD conversions.
August 3, 200520 yr Author comment_3061295 OK, I jumped the gun on that one. However, I do think it needed to cool down. Turns out, 2 of the last 3 discs recieved errors, and 3 of 7 so I assumed it was done. Combine that with the fact that it is copy-protecting tapes with no copy-protection and I thought it was done. I am going to try and get as much mileage out of this one with the current crop of tapes coming in, and if necessary, I'll exchange it if I lose too many more discs.
