I think the idea is the best matches regardless of who the participants are.

 

For example, if 3-4 Misawa-Kawada matchups deserve to be there, we would include all 4 matches.

 

Sub Steamboat-Flair or Jumbo-Tenryu or any other great feud that produced multiple great matches.

Agreed. Quality over variety. No spice of life here.

For the best match nominations how good does a match have to be before you nominate it? Do you guys go with the top 10, 5 or 2 percent of a federation's best matches? Or do you go by star rating? Or does it differ with each league? With myself it varies but I'm having a little bit of trouble trying to think of what actually should be the cut off point as far as the best matches go.

If you think the match stands out as great, nominate it. Be as selective as you possibly can, obviously, but work within your own guidelines. Now if there are two Benoit/Smith matches that are equally great, but feature the same wrestling sequences and the same finish, there's really no point in nominating both, but that's just common sense. Use your best judgment.
