Missouri Heavyweight Title: Ken Patera © vs. Dewey Robertson (11/29/81)

Always fun to see a title defense on TV. Dewey looks like damn Patera's twin brother although with brown hair here. Dewey frustrated Patera early on as he fought back from everything Patera tried to throw at him and had a cool counter to a Patera monkey flip by kneeing him in the taint. Patera though would finally get the advantage by working over Dewey's back setting up the full-nelson but again Dewey was pesky as he constantly fought back. Dewey then came firing back with shots and had Patera reeling but he would lock on the full-nelson although Dewey countered out of it before hitting an Oklahoma Stampede for a nearfall. Patera then got a nearfall of his own with an inside cradle and this has become a total slugfest with both men getting nearfalls before time ran out for a draw. This was a damn good match and a fairly solid nomination.

Spike Huber vs. Gil Guerrero (8/23/81)

Spotlight match for Spike.

Then we get Jack Brisco/Bill Irwin from CWF in 1981.

Harley Race vs. David Von Erich (8/23/81)

These two had a big TV match two years earlier that made David a big star in the city. This starts slow with DVE working a headlock on the mat but Harley would use his body as a weapon to work over David. Race would throw some bombs here trying to put away DVE and even used a tombstone piledriver for a nearfall. DVE to his credit kept fighting back as after taking a regular piledriver he bodyslammed Race off the top rope as he went for a diving headbutt. This has now turned into a total war of attrition with the battle going to the floor where Race slammed DVE's head on the ringside table but when they came back in the ring DVE got a piledriver of his own on Race which was followed by the iron claw with 5 minutes left in the match but Race would headbutt him in the stomach to break the hold. Race would miss a diving headbutt off the top which DVE countered with a jumping iron claw off the top and the fans are going nuts for this. Race would pull the referee into the mix which took him out and then he would chunk DVE to the floor where he dropped him with a brainbuster for a DQ. DVE sells the brainbuster like crazy as the fans are booing heavily and Race is up top whining about the ref calling for the DQ when Kerry shows up and throws Race off. Kerry then nails Race with a discus punch sending him flying to the floor. This was a fantastic match and a slam dunk nomination.

Kerry Von Erich vs. Tim Leonard (8/23/81)

Leonard jumps Kerry at the bell as he is still upset about what just happened but Kerry would come back and killed him. Kerry then cut a promo afterwards about the Race situation.

Bobo Brazil vs. David Price (8/23/81)

This was an expiration of time match which Bobo won fairly easily.

Bulldog Bob Brown vs. Baron Von Raschke (7/19/81)

Now this is a matchup. This was a no nonsense brawl where both men ended up being DQed.

Greg "The Hammer" Valentine vs. Kerry Von Erich (10/18/81)

Another great TV matchup in St. Louis. This had some really good back and forth action to start with the highlight being a great backdrop suplex by Greg who was very aggressive here working over Kerry both inside and outside the ring. He is working like his dad according to Matysik who also pushes the battles between their fathers as maybe a reason for Greg being aggressive. Kerry would make a fiery comeback though but it wasn't for long as Greg threw him back out to the floor where he gave him an atomic drop then dropped a big elbow before shoving referee Sonny Myers down. Greg would miss another elbow though and Kerry came fighting back as the match was ruled a no contest. This was some really good shit especially Greg who was hitting hard as hell. I'm pushing this forward as a nomination.

Bulldog Bob Brown & Rocky Johnson vs. Mike Kelly & Ken Patera (11/1/81)

The battle begins before the bell with everyone wearing their ring jackets and Rocky would get a sunset flip on Kelly to win the 1st fall in seconds. There was only 5 minutes left in the show so they just worked the match until time ran out.

Greg "The Hammer" Valentine vs. Gil Guerrero (February 1983)

Squash.

Cowboy Bob Orton vs. Greg Lake (February 1983)

Easy win for Orton.

Bulldog Bob Brown & Mark Romero vs. Yasu Fuji & Steve Sybert (February 1983)

Yeah St. Louis TV at this time wasn't the same as it was even a year earlier. The highlight of this was Mickey Garagiola making fun of Bob Brown's ugliness on commentary.

Mark Romero vs. Yasu Fuji (February 1983)

Fairly easy win for Mark.
