Posted March 16, 200520 yr comment_1233698 Right now I'm sitting at home, called off sick from work, due to eating that pre-packaged lunch meat you see in supermarkets that looks like a good deal. Let me tell you, it isn't. Let this be a public service announcement, pay the extra dollar or sp for the fresh stuff, it will be better for you in the long run.
March 16, 200520 yr comment_1233787 I always do anyways. At least when you go to the meat deli, you can see how the meat's handled, how clean and healthy it is (and the person handling them), etc. You have no clue about the prepackaged stuff.
March 16, 200520 yr comment_1233919 Did the grocier offer you five pounds of frozen shrimp as an apology?
March 16, 200520 yr comment_1234834 I always buy meat and cheese directly from the deli. It tastes much better, it's fresher, and as was pointed out, you can see how it was handled.
March 16, 200520 yr comment_1234930 Did the grocier offer you five pounds of frozen shrimp as an apology? ??? Seriously, that happened to you once? Or is that a policy at a grocery store you go to?
March 16, 200520 yr comment_1235117 I worked in a deli, nothing beats freshly sliced. Plus just from looking at the pre-packaged ones, usually you can tell they will suck.

March 16, 200520 yr comment_1243192 "I'll cut off what I want, and ride the rest home!!" I also get fresh cut meat. I can empathize with Sek though, but it was from an Italian sandwich I got at school once that smelled a little funky, but I ate it anyway.
March 16, 200520 yr Author comment_1243757 I'm just lucky that I get paid weekly and there's 5 Thursdays in March so I can afford to take a day without it fucking up my bills for the month. I don't think the agency I work for gives sick pay so I hate calling off unless I have internal organs trying to force their way outside of me.

Or am I mistaken?
March 17, 200520 yr Author comment_1245785 I work for a temp agency, my last assignment is the one that ended abuptly, but as it turned out they found me a new one the next day.
March 17, 200520 yr comment_1251818 Delis are overrated - just walk out and chop up your own cow. You honestly have no idea how good you food can taste until you've produced it from start to finish. It's fantastic. *walks out to the barn, gets some veal*
