Does Jumping Bomb Angels vs Glamour Girls even have a rival for best WWF tag series of the 80's?

Harts vs Killer Bees is the only thing close for me.

Gotta be Strike Force vs Islanders

Shit, forgot those.

Harts are fresh, b/c I'm rewatching every Bret match ever. The Bees was their best opponent.

Yeah, SF-Islanders is outstanding.

I don't like the Rockers-Brainbusters series, but people like that as well.

I think Demolition-Brainbusters is an all-time great feud, but what do I know.

Has there been any news on when we might get Sunday Night Heat?

Not sure, but one interesting note on Heat is that several episodes were only shown overseas (the ones done on PPV weekends, US viewers got essentially a ppv preview show). I wonder if we'll get those episodes.

That's actually not out of the realm of possibility. They got around the Christ Benoit tribute show, by showing the International version of that night's Raw.

I remember that. At the time I was annoyed that we didn't get the US version but looking back getting exclusive matches sounds better.

Hopefully we will get exclusive footage when they put them up. I remember watching the intro Breakdown 98 and there was a bit Austin gives Vince the Stunner who is flipping Austin and hes got a dark Blue shirt. Stone Cold had a new Shirt design Id not seen before, so checked all the Raw's and he never wore it there but there was one Sunday Night Heat episode I think Sept 13th 1998 that he wore this on and Vince had the dark Blue shirt too so guessing this stuff happened after Heat went off the air and WWE filmed it.

Still waiting for WWE to put up attitude Extra for the Raw episode where HBK debuted as Comissioner and screwed Xpac in the title match vs Rock as Austin blasted the entire corporation and DX with Stunners.

Grimmas, I know you are from Toronto. Were you of the right age to have attended the Frank Tunney Memorial Tag Team tournament at Maple Leaf Gardens? I was there, and (as I recall, although this may be nostalgia, not an accurate reflection of quality) it was great. The Killer Bees won the tournament and got a shot at The Hart Foundation in the Main Event.

For a long time, many of the matches were available on YouTube but sadly I don't think they are anymore.

Anyhow, +1 for the Killer Bees vs. Harts love.

So that Philly show has Snuka teaming with Arnold Skaaland vs Muraco and Captain Lou. That seemed like an odd pairing, so I looked on Graham's site and saw that he was a sub for Buddy Rogers and was so in a series of matches around the circuit. Were they really expecting Buddy to wrestle at that point in time? I will say Arnold looked pretty good for a 58 year old who had been retired for several years by then.

I grew up in Brockville a 4 hour drive away. Never got to Maple Leaf Gardens. However saw that show on dvd a few years ago and it's a lot of fun.

I wanna say I remember hearing Rogers was totally game for wrestling again in 1983, but he fell in the shower and broke his hip and had to bow out.

According to PWInsider, two long-requested classic shows could well be on their way to WWE Network. The site reports that both Sunday Night Heat and WCW Thunder are earmarked to hit the service “by the end of the year”. There’s no further info however on how much of the shows we’ll actually see by that point. Thunder could feasibly be completed in 2 drops, while Heat ran for a decade and won’t be done that easily.

PWI also says that a Madusa special is planned for release to coincide with the Mae Young Classic live finals on September 12th. Meanwhile, the “2nd season” of Storytime is reportedly going to start airing next month. Considering the drought of original programming we’ve had this week, the return of the animated show may be more welcome than usual.

Finally and speaking of missing original content, the latest on the Steamboat/Flair/Sting episode of Table for 3 is that WWE apparently have no intention of airing it until The Nature Boy is in better health.

Wow, no desire to see any of that.

Drop some Coliseum Home Videos, Superstars, house shows, etc..

There was a lot of good stuff on Heat. The Hardy Boys had some fun matches on there (this was before they got the big push in 1999), and much like Jakked, it gave the lower midcard (essa rios, Kaientai, Crash, Headbangers, Blackman, etc) a chance to shine. Thunder by comparison just seemed boring, though I am looking forward to the episode where Nash did commentary.
