It really should be there with the rest of the 1997 RAWs, since it has the Shawn Michaels "lost my smile" speech, which, no matter what you think of it, was a historical moment. There's also a pretty good Bret Hart/Vader match as well, and the only Steve Austin/Sid match that i know of.
April 2, 20169 yr comment_5737021 As someone who actually lives in southern US, I see the confederate flag relatively often and have always just seen it as a way of showing southern pride with nothing to do with racism. I've never seen anyone complain about it or act offended and I think that's because people who grew up in the region understand that there is far more to the history than just slavery and racism. The "confederate flag=racism and nothing more" talking point strikes me as something recently created by SJW's who don't know much about the region's history beyond the sterile and simplified version taught in middle school. The black people in the South fly and feel the flag is just pride too? I am not American, and I have only spent 4 months in America in my life - in Birmingham, Alabama - so I am not close to being qualified about this, but I made a bunch of black friends there, and a lot of them feel very uncomfortable with the Confederate flag being flown. One person I know is moving to Portland, and publicly stated that he is glad, because every time he drives from Mobile -or probably Dothan, I don't remember - to Birmingham, he feels really disturbed by that giant Confederate flag flying on the way.
