Jim Ross made a great point on with Dave and Bryan yesterday. He said the big problem with pushing 9.99 is they never tell you what you're getting for the cost. It's like having a fast food place advertise you can eat lunch for 3.99 but never telling you what kind of food they serve. How are you supposed to know if you want to eat there if you don't know what's on the menu?

I feel they need to inform the public how to stream the network onto their t.v's. A FAQ about what streaming devices work isn't cutting it.Also getting more Smart T.V's that carry the network could help a bit more.

Agreed. Even J.R. always talks about watching it on the iPad, and what a "unique" experience that is - as if he doesn't even realize there are ways to watch it on a TV!

I mean, if even J.R. is in the dark, wow. Yeah, I get that he's old, but still.

BTW, did anyone else sign back up for the Network today? How did it go? Any issues?

I did it in the early afternoon, and it was a breeze. No hiccups like the launch. And after I signed up, I was able to get right back into the Roku channel without doing anything special (no password, code, etc. needed - it gave me immediate access again). Haven't tried it on my phone yet, but I assume the same will be true there too.

I see a pending charge for $9.99, but I remember that being the case last time around too, and I didn't get charged until I was supposed to. Hopefully that's the case this time as well. My account page on the WWE Network site says I won't be billed until December 1st.

Yeah, they're so focused on the "Hey, you could get this show for so much cheaper on the network!" but they run a PPV once a month. What is there to watch in the meantime? When they put the old SNMEs and Nitros on, there should have been a concerted effort to promote those on Raw, showing old clips as a teaser for what you could on the Network. Instead, they half-assed like they do everything else. Even if they just ran some teasers saying "you can see the formation of the nWo!" or "Want more Hulk Hogan? Get the Network and queue up our brand new Saturday Night Main Events!" would have sufficed but they seem to think that this ingrained fanbase that they do have will follow them through anything, no matter how they promote it.

You'd think it would be a no brainer since Hogan's been showing up on Raw to do pretty much nothing other than promote Susan G, Komen. Having him promote the formation of the nWo or SNMEs would help everybody. WWE promotes what's on the network and there's nothing Hulk Hogan enjoys doing more than promoting Hulk Hogan. Everyone wins.

I've drifted in and out of the current product. This year thanks to the network I watched several PPVs back to back for the first time I can remember. They fell completely flat on me for the most part. I never did get around to watching the first half of Summerslam. My subscription expired and I'll eventually re-up, but I have no need to hurry. I wouldn't watch the last PPV at any price over the World Series. And if they're not putting out new content worth watching, it doesn't matter how cheap they make it.

It's free this month. There's literally no reason not to sign up again. You can always cancel before Dec. 1st.

British launch postponed 10 fucking minutes before the planned launch. Much anger

Yeah, I had a few people on Facebook angry about that but I had assumed they just hadn't read the news update from a couple of months ago. Is it more difficulties with Sky?

I'm actually hoping it doesn't get set up before Raw next week. I'm nonplussed on the Network, but the show being drowned out in "Fuck the network!" chants would be quite the spectacle, even if they're condensed in post-production.

Fuck knows. I'm guessing Sky have just realised the PPVs were going on there and went spare about losing those Sky Box Office pennies.

By the way, they have an opportunity for maximum trolling if they say they're going to make an announcement at the UK RAW only for the fans to hear WELL I'M AFRAID I'VE GOT SOME BAAAD NEWS

That would be gold.

Something must have gone wrong last minute because the geoblocker was down and you could watch the network w/o a VPN for a while.

Part 2 of Austin-McMahon Rivalries was a nice little recap of 2000-02.

Absolutely. Watching it now and so far so good (up to WM17). Once the recap of the last episode was done with it (I believe that was the 296th time I've seen the beer truck footage) it get's going nicely. It feels great to have a far less covered time frame highlighted with all of their polish.
