Posted March 7, 201411 yr comment_5592453 Was looking around at the ratings from 1997 for RAW and Nitro as I had nothing better to do this AM while I sit here at work alone and wait for my new script to build or others to show up.... I noticed on 3 or 4 different sites that RAW beat Nitro in the end of April 1997 weeks and then the first few weeks of May 97 as well. This would cut Nitro's total weeks led consecutively in half.. Have ratings changes been made over the years or what am I missing here? If these are all accurrate, WCW only had a couple 30+ week wins...which is a lot, but kills their 80+ streak they all brag about... http://editthis.info/wrestling_ratings_wiki/WWF_Raw_vs._WCW_Monday_Nitro http://www.wrestlescoop.com/information/raw-vs-nitro-ratings-war/ What's the deal?
March 7, 201411 yr comment_5592454 I don't think the shows were head to head during those weeks. Nitro was aired either later in the evenings or in shorter form on Tuesdays during NBA playoffs.
March 7, 201411 yr comment_5592455 Without looking I'm almost positive the reason those don't count is because they weren't head to head. I think there was basketball that pre-empted Nitro at the time.
March 8, 201411 yr Author comment_5592581 Looking at the old DDT Digests, the NItro's were on those Monday's for 4/28 - 5/5 - 5/12... Didnt say anything about different times though...or for WWF.
March 8, 201411 yr comment_5592582 They were definitely on at different times. Nitro was displaced during those weeks every year of its run.
March 8, 201411 yr Author comment_5592612 4/13 was definitely the date WWF finally won... Thanks for the info on the WCW dates......makes sense.
March 10, 201411 yr comment_5593174 What Loss said: NBA playoffs caused pre-emptions and those shows weren't head-to-head. It's like counting the weeks of the Dog Show and the US Open as "wins" for WCW. No one did. John
