Posted September 16, 200520 yr comment_3443450 Oct. 1: Shia LaBeouf / Kanye West very disappointing. I thought they would go for a much bigger star. I fucking cannot stand Shia LaBeouf. After last year's abysmal season, things don't look any better. Hopefully Carell is hosting soon EDIT: Apparently this is bullshit. I trusted a post at saturday-night-live.com. This is false. EDIT: Here is the official schedule: Oct. 1: Steve Carell / Kanye West Oct. 8: Jon Heder / ? Oct. 22: Catherine Zeta-Jones / Franz Ferdinand Oct. 29: Lance Armstrong / Sheryl Crow
September 16, 200520 yr comment_3443765 Who the fuck is Shia LaBeouf? And when will Lorne bite the bullet already and put this show out of it's misery?
September 16, 200520 yr comment_3443828 I like Shia. Rob, if you still don't know (although you probably google searched the name by now or something) he's the boy from Even Stevens on the Disney Channel. He was also John Constantine's apprentice in the movie Constantine. He's in that new golf movie too but I can't remember the name of it.
September 16, 200520 yr comment_3444400 I had the same reaction Rob did. I'm out of the loop, but that might be a good thing anyway.
September 16, 200520 yr comment_3444475 Who the fuck is Shia LaBeouf? And when will Lorne bite the bullet already and put this show out of it's misery? I've said it before, SNL haters are so similar to wrestling haters. They go on about how much it sucks then you find out they haven't watched since the mid 80s. Like wrestling, SNL tends to be cylical. It sucks for a couple years and then it's really funny for a couple years. It's definately in a "sucks" cycle now, but it hardly needs put out of its misery.
September 16, 200520 yr comment_3444999 Again, it's NOT Shia LaBeouf. SNL had a pretty middling year last season, and with the same cast coming back, the results will continue. The season finale host is a good sign though that at least they're trying. But then I hear about Lance Armstrong hosting and again I get pessimistic
September 16, 200520 yr Author comment_3446281 you're right Bob, I trusted a post at the saturday-night-live.com board. It's not true.

To be honest, I haven't seen anything he is in and wouldn't know Even Stevens if it kicked me in the face. For some reason the name sounds familiar, but I have no idea where I would have heard it. Actually, maybe he was rumored to be cast for some big part or something along those lines. As for SNL, I catch a handful of episodes each season. The show has been on forever and the quality will NEVER match what it once was, and I'm not even talking about at it's peak, but even during just the good years. No program goes on forever, this one has run it's course. Barring some unforseen comedic renaissance in America, the show will never be "Must See TV" again.
