Vince and the Stooges are accompanied by lots of security. Vince is becoming more and more over the top by the week and I love it. Vince promises the demise of Steve Austin on Sunday night, which brings Austin out. Austin insists that since Vince admits he assaulted Austin last week, he should be arrested. So cops handcuff Vince and he makes awesome facial expressions to sell it. Patterson and Brisco take exception and Austin gets them arrested for obstructing justice. Austin kicks Vince while he's handcuffed and pours beer all over him. I guess that's not assault? I don't think this is how arrests work in the real world, but this was a great crowd pleasing segment.

Bah Humbug, Chad! This was fucking glorious! Maybe my favorite segment of this run! I am loving the week-to-week continuity and progression. I am so used to each RAW being a vacuum and disconnected that was I like how will they follow up last week, when it felt like a go home show. Well they of course do the logical thing when a "fan" jumps the rail and assaults a wrestler they have him arrested! Beautiful! Loved all of this.

"AUSTIN IS DOING WHAT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT COULD NOT DO!"

Well, no, the legal ramifications of this don't really make any more sense than WCW's stupidity regarding restraining orders, or the power bomb. But when you're hot, these things tend to matter less and less--and from a wrestling psychology standpoint if not a legal accuracy standpoint, Vince's arrest after both his gloating promo and all the times he's had Austin taken to jail works brilliantly. This is the type of segment that embodies people's thoughts about how the worker vs. his boss angle struck an escapist chord with so many people and why the Authority simply doesn't work the same way.
