August 28, 201411 yr Author comment_5621672 The shortest match of the series so far, probably because they are working the C-show. This was a really good, fast-paced match. This series is a nice departure from endless NWO vs NWO angles. They didn't have quite as much time as usual, but they really went all out. Great stuff.
September 12, 201411 yr comment_5624057 They worked this one more like a sprint as it only went 7 minutes or so but was still good stuff for that timeframe. I don't know how much into the taping this match was as the crowd was dead for it. I also thought the ending was abrupt as Benoit wins with a German. Probably the worst match of the series. (**1/2)
September 12, 201411 yr comment_5624212 Yeah, this was more hard fought, moment to moment, than the previous match. But at just seven minutes, it was bound to feel less complete. It was the type of match that works really well in a series, because it established that either guy could win in a blink. So I liked the concept, even if I likely won't remember the individual match.
June 3, 20169 yr comment_5755874 They even worked the finish like a flash pin, with Booker bicycling like crazy and just barely being put down for 3 in the German suplex. Much more urgency in this one due to the shortened nature of the match--maybe that will add some heat to the early near-falls in subsequent matches now that we know this could end at almost any time. For whatever reason I wasn't expecting this series to hold up, but it does so far.
