September 11, 201411 yr Author comment_5623817 Jerry Lawler tells the story of what happened with Jim Carrey. He talks about the history with Andy Kauffman and Lawler's ability to straddle the line between work and shoot here without once breaking kayfabe or going in the wrong direction is awe-inspiring. He tells a story about what happened on the set with Jim Carrey that is amazing. Lawler is a true worker.
October 25, 201410 yr comment_5635406 We get the long story of Lawler and Carrey on the Man on the Moon set. I had heard the story before so it wasn't news to me but they gave Lawler enough time to deliver it and he is a masterful storyteller, so it remained interesting.
August 14, 20169 yr comment_5763251 Lawler spins a yarn, detailing the history of his feud with Andy Kaufman and then this supposed dust-up on-set with Jim Carrey. Apparently Carrey took his method-acting a bit too far and, upset over not being allowed to take the suplex and piledriver himself, spit at Lawler and precipitated a pull-apart on the set which became a national news story. A work all the way, but Lawler makes this compelling.
