September 18, 201411 yr Author comment_5626177 Vince insists that he had nothing to do with Undertaker hitting Austin with the shovel last week and we know this to be the case because Vince doesn't lie. Vince is ready to announce a new WWF Commissioner. I'm not sure why another layer of authority figures was really needed. Slaughter is stepping aside and Vince says this commissioner will not answer to even him. The only exception to that rule is Steve Austin, because he's Vince's. Vince will make all decisions related to Austin. So he finally introduces Shawn Michaels. He's been gone about 8 months, but it seems SO much longer. Shawn promises that things will never be the same again. His delivery is incredibly obnoxious here. He announces Rock vs X-Pac in the main event. Then the DX music starts and Michaels starts crotch chopping right away.
November 9, 201410 yr comment_5638830 We get the announcement that HBK is the new commish. Lawler is a little nervous about this news since no one can control Shawn. Shawn makes his first announcement that XPac vs. Rock is the main event for tonight which doesn't please Vince at all.
October 27, 20168 yr comment_5773083 In hindsight I think they telegraphed the swerve too much by talking about how Shawn and Vince don't see eye to eye and that Shawn can't be controlled--not to a Joey Styles extreme, but it was there.
