Jericho was fired up here yet again! This was a surprisingly good match. He has told the story before of how he argued with Bischoff right before this match about his contract and how he was being used, and he was angry and came out and put it all out there in this match. Konnan wins the TV title because Kevin Nash is booking and is a guy who hooks up his friends. This was the end of Jericho's push in WCW and we won't see a lot of him even in 1999 for a few months.

Jericho had more confidence and intuitativeness here than he has in ring at any point in the year. This was shockingly good as Charles said and Konnan was made to look effective. Jericho toned down his playing to the crowd spots and worked on getting his opponent over and being a ring general. Cool payback finish with the belt shot. Seeing Luger and Nash come out to celebrate made me realize how depleted the Wolfpac is with Sting and Macho out. (**3/4)

Sigh. I wish I could say that Jericho singlehandedly dragged Konnan to the best match he's been in for years, but I have to grudgingly admit that he pulled his weight here, sort of. He offered quite a bit of fun offensive spots, even if his selling sucks and I hate him and I hate this result.
