Cena needed some time after the choir serenaded him to start the show.  He cuts his go-home babyface promo for Extreme Rules.  It starts off talking about buying Bray a donkey named Gluteus and by the end, felt like a rejected Rock promo.  After the past few weeks of Bray "converting" the Universe away from Cena, John doesn't seem very fazed by it.

The way I remember this fairly interesting feud ending was exactly that, the fans are pretty much totally behind Bray, they do a big bells and whistles "blow off" match, Cena shrugs, there's no resolution for anyone, everything goes back to normal. I'm enjoying you revisit it and am curious to see if that's basically your take as well.
