Posted June 25, 201411 yr comment_5609475 This starts with clips of the Sam Muchnick retirement ceremony. Then we get the matches on the show which all were clipped up but one. 2 out of 3 falls for the NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes (1/1/82) Gene Kiniski is the special referee and there is clipping here but it's early in the 1st fall which was slow paced but picked up towards the finish although it was sloppy with Flair getting a sloppy sunset flip for the pin. The 2nd fall is also clipped starting with Dusty having Flair in a sleeper immediately and it wasn't long before Dusty put Flair away with the bionic elbow to even the falls. Dusty takes the battle to Flair to start the 3rd fall but Flair fights back working over Dusty's left knee to set up the figure-four which he would get and Dusty would counter before the finish run where Dusty would try to slam Flair but his leg gave out and Flair got the very rare clean win over him. This was a pretty good match and the clean win puts it over the top for me as a nomination.
