Competitive match with both men working hard.

 

Bulldog Bob Brown & Jerry Ho vs. Kortsia Korchenko & Tonga John (7/3/83)

 

Ho would become Jerry Oske/Jerry Allen and Tonga would become The Barbarian. This wasn't very good.

 

Then we get some World Class.

Also not very good.

 

Next we get clips of Race beating Flair for the NWA title on 6/10/83.

 

"Gentleman" George Wells vs. Steve Sybert (7/17/83)

 

I don't know what's funnier...Wells being called Gentleman or Lord Alfred Hayes who was ring announcing and his pornstache.

 

Then we get a Race promo for his match against Flair on 8/5/83.

 

Jerry Ho vs. Grizzly Evans (7/17/83)

 

Damn did the quality of workers on St. Louis TV go down once Matysik left.

 

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez & Mark Romero vs. Hercules Hernandez & Dewey Robertson (7/17/83)

 

Some really bad hairstyles here especially Manny who looked like Terry Funk circa 1979. Some fun action here especially Romero's release German Suplex on Herc and Herc's missed diving body press off the top rope. Fine for what it was but nothing special.

 

"Hangman" Bobby Jaggers vs. Roberto Soto (August 1983)

 

Now we have Matysik's group here. Soto looks really good starting off using his athleticism to keep Jaggers on the defensive and this turns into a pretty decent match that goes to a draw.

 

Cowboy Scott Casey vs. Ted Allen (August 1983)

 

Allen jumps Casey at the bell and takes it to him but Casey makes a comeback and beats Allen while still wearing his satin jacket.

 

Then we get Brody vs. Volkoff which I've seen already.

 

Tully Blanchard vs. Brian Madden (August 1983)

 

Spike Huber is in Madden's corner as he is feuding with Tully so there is an angle alert. Tully is vicious working over Madden then taunts Huber afterwards.

 

Spike Huber & Sweet Brown Sugar vs. Hans Schroeder & Tom Stanton (August 1983)

 

Spotlight match for the faces.

 

Barry Windham vs. Henry Rutledge (8/13/83)

 

Easy win for Windham.

 

Next we get the Lawler video set to Winning by Santana.

 

Handicap Match: Crusher Blackwell vs. Mark Romero & George Wells (8/13/83)

 

Odd seeing two of their bigger faces in a handicap match with Blackwell but Romero was on the way out and it was easy for him to do the job here. HOGAN would run out after the match and sent Blackwell packing as the crowd went nuts. Blackwell then cut an angry promo afterwards.

 

Hulk Hogan vs. Howard Jacobs (8/13/83)

 

Hulk is wearing a HULK COUNTRY shirt which is great. Blackwell comes out to ringside at the start to distract Hogan but Hogan kills this jobber.

 

Then we go to Matysik's show where he interviews Brody about his battles with Volkoff.

 

Next we get Blanchard vs. Huber with Lou Thesz as referee which I've seen already.

 

Then we get some World Class.

Debbie Combs vs. Ann Jeannette (September 1983)

 

Combs' mom Cora Combs does commentary with Larry.

 

Tiger Conway Jr. & Al Perez vs. Dirty Dutch Mantell & Luke Williams (September 1983)

 

The IWA Puerto Rico Bookers tag team is an interesting one. This was a fun tag team sprint with all four men looking fairly good. Tiger's hot tag section was fun as he was taking it to the heels but it was obvious they were working towards a draw and I would've liked to have seen a better finish.

 

Then we get more matches I've seen already.

 

Next we get a Snuka vs. Don Kernodle match from WWF TV which is interesting since they would be taking over St. Louis soon.
