October 18, 201410 yr Author comment_5634050 Luger is much better in this role, but Liz shouldn't be put in a position to talk. They laugh about her actions the night of the Fingerpoke of Doom getting Goldberg out of the building. Luger has a slide listing Goldberg's strengths. That's a feud we didn't get until 2000 when Lex was useless.
December 23, 201410 yr comment_5646567 Luger wasn't totally a joke during this but he was getting there. That happened when they stopped calling him Lex Luger. I never got why WCW kept bringing back Liz. She was useless in 1996 and they kept her till the end.
January 20, 201510 yr comment_5650288 I really liked this and you do see natural chemistry between Lex and Liz and they make Luger still to be a big deal as the catalyst for the Goldberg beatdown. These NWO B&W skits have regained their swagger.
March 4, 20178 yr comment_5790330 Lex and Liz make goo-goo eyes at each other and are being set up as an on-camera couple. Luger fits in well in this environment--Liz, not so much, as her dialogue recital is pretty wooden albeit not Nitro Girl-caliber. There are interesting parallels between Goldberg's entry into the business and Luger's, that a promotion that's more on the ball could have possibly drawn upon for this (apparent) feud.
