Hogan doesn't seem very over anymore with live crowds. He's out to give Flair until the count of 20 to get to the ring so Hogan can finish him off. Flair shows up - with a camera conveniently placed on him - and stumbles to the ring with an axehandle. Fan reactions to all of this show how no one is taking any of this seriously. The worst part of this is that the announcers claim to have no idea what has happened. So the announcers can't see these segments that we see at home? Come on! This just gets worse and worse. The Horsemen show up and the NWO lay them out, but come on - no one else in WCW is willing to save the President of the company from this. Fuck WCW. I wish they could come back to life and die again.

So Flair gets attacked in the field and then comes back and gets attacked again? That makes sense. Just sad

Flair comes back from the attack and gets beat up again to no crowd reaction. Sad and shitty.

 

Worse is the announcers not knowing where he has been. WHAT THE FUCK. Most frustrating Nitro so far on the yearbooks.

Great to see the babyface come back from the earlier beatdown and get his revenge on the heels. I'm so out of date here.

Hogan half-asses his way through a promo. Flair shows up in the pick-up and as we've established, the announcers have no idea what's happened. Did no one clue them in that the company President hadn't shown up to his show and was missing? Hogan had offered a 20-count but Flair just barely starts stumbling out of the truck at like 15, so Hogan just sort of has to trail off. The Horsemen are effectively buried for like the 37th time since 1996. You know part of why Austin was so effective? He didn't have people running out to save him either, but he was SMART. If the Corporation finagled their way into jumping him in a cornfield, he'd come back with heavy machinery of his own and run them all over in response. Schiavone says "this is the worst" several times. Preach it, Tony.
