October 21, 201410 yr Author comment_5634723 Duggan actually asks fans to bow their heads for a prayer. He's thankful that he has been spared and he's looking forward to getting back in the ring. He's appreciative of WCW for sticking by his family. He promises everyone he's not going to change a thing despite what any wrestling experts may say. I think the key to Duggan staying over with live crowds so long was that he was genuinely likable.
January 17, 201510 yr comment_5649779 I've seen this before but I don't remember him praying on live tv during this. Feel good promo by Duggan. Sad that it never went anywhere and the only thing he's known for during this era was digging the TV out of the trash can while being a janitor.
March 7, 201510 yr comment_5657436 Duggan knew how to tug the heartstrings of a fan base that still appreciated this sort of thing. Ill give WCW credit that as bad as most things are now they do have interesting characters like Duggan and Konnan that feel really different from ECW and WWF at the time and still could have an audience.
August 14, 201510 yr comment_5691961 Prayers had taken a back seat in wrestling since Hogan had turned heel. Vitamins however had not.
March 27, 20178 yr comment_5793467 Duggan cuts a pretty genuine promo, using his normal speaking voice. And of course, he still draws a "U-S-A" chant, this time without even trying.
