This was really good stuff, reminiscent of the Onita/Goto vs Dragon Master/Kurisu match from 1990 that everyone loved. Onita brings the personality, Tanaka the wrestling and Kanemura and Nakamaki are big time heels, even cutting the barbed wire with pliers which the crowd hates. Tenryu makes an appearance in a post-match angle and has a showdown with Onita, dissing him on a handshake offer and kicking off their feud.

That didn't seem like 16 minutes to me either but I had a long break and don't feel like going back to check. In any case I didn't think this was as good as the early-'90s brawls involving this troupe, even though I love Tanaka. But it was certainly action-packed and never boring...it just didn't really have the highs and lows and ebbs and flows that the best of these type matches offer amidst all the chaos. Tanaka's final comeback is very well-done, though. I would have paid money to see Tanaka and Hiroshi Hase just countering each other with rolling elbows and uranages for 20 minutes.
