I recall this match and Flair's match against Sting the previous week doing the most competitive quarter hours WCW had done in a long time. Charles Robinson refuses to count Flair down after Nash powerbombs him. Gorgeous George (Savage's valet) ends up attacking Robinson from behind, then puts on the ref's shirt to come in the ring and count the fall. Is that how it works? Immediately after the match, a group of guys in white coats come to the ring to put Flair on a hospital bed and cart him out of the building while Piper taunts him. And Flair is hauled off to a mental institution.
February 27, 201510 yr comment_5656372 Poor Flair. Does the clean job to Nash and then gets put into a van that looks really unsafe. I guess this was the start of the George/Lil Naitch feud? I'm still surprised to see Arn take bumps given how bad his neck was.
March 18, 201510 yr comment_5659311 Gorgeous George must have watched Jimmy Hart at WM 9 judging by her referee performance here. Anyway, Flair gets pinned and then carted away to a mental institution with Arn and Roddy bickering back and forth. What a strange journey Flair has been on in four months of 1999.
May 31, 20178 yr comment_5802502 SMH. Not much more to be said. The first Flair segment was almost equal parts fun and depressing. This is similar, except without the fun part.
