Posted August 20, 201411 yr comment_5620639 Brian Blair vs. Jack Hart (2/27/85) Before the match, Jack proclaims he is going to stretch Blair and Solie told him that if that happened then he would personally get him a Florida Title shot. Hart gives Blair everything he wants early in the match but Blair is just too much for him and sends Hart to a record of 0-34. Pringle comes out next with The Assassin where he has become Pringle's personal mercenary against the Freebirds. Assassin is great here. Next we get Mike Graham's first promo after the death of his father Eddie and he talks about how his goal in life now is to win the NWA World Heavyweight Title for the Graham family legacy. Graham fights back the tears as he talks before the Freebirds come out next thinking they are scheduled for a promo which leads to some miscommunication then some issues with Graham taking shots at the Birds. Graham really acts like the heel here at first and Gordy wants the title shot with Hayes complaining this is like Texas all over again. Buddy then gets in Graham's face calling him and his dad losers so Graham decks him. The BIrds then destroy Graham afterwards cementing their heel turn although Graham was the one acting like a douchebag. Brian Blair comes out to help and they destroy him too before Bugsy McGraw runs them off. This is a really good angle and a definite extra. (3/6/85) Brian Blair vs. Mike Golden (3/6/85) Blair is pissed from earlier and he just destroys Golden. Blair then demands revenge against the Birds afterwards. Larry Hamilton is cutting a promo before the Birds come back out and they run him off then talk about the Graham's again which disgusts Solie with Hayes saying that Solie knows he agrees. This is followed up by a promo from Pringle, Assassin, & Link where Assassin calls Larry Hanilton & Rocky King "boys." Blair & Bugsy are out next talking about their match with the Birds coming soon. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy, Michael Hayes, & Buddy Roberts) vs. The Marauder, The Raider, & Scotty Williams (3/6/85) The Birds work in their street clothes here before Blair, Bugsy, & Graham run out to attack the Birds setting off a wild brawl. Mike Graham & Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Jack Hart & Wild Bill Irwin (3/13/85) Wahoo wears his US Heavyweight Title to the ring as he hasn't lost to Magnum yet but he has already started booking CWF. This is a fun little match as Wahoo is a very solid addition to the roster and the other guys look pretty good here too. Wahoo finishes Jack off with a vertical suplex in 1985..which is funny. The Birds are out next where Hayes said that he was getting tired of the fans anyway so turning on Graham made sense. Solie is again distressed by the situation as the Birds demand the video get shown again. Mike Graham, Chief Wahoo McDaniel, & Bugsy McGraw vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy, Michael Hayes, & Buddy Roberts) (3/13/85) The faces came in and paid off the original challengers and they started teeing off on the Birds early but they would get some work in on Bugsy until Graham blindly tags in and he takes it to Buddy. That wouldn't last long though as Graham is natural for the FIP here and he gets worked over fierce by the Birds. Graham makes a quick hot tag to Wahoo thought and it turns in to a 6-way brawl where the Birds get to the floor and leave. Fun stuff. Then we get another promo from the Birds about their former friends which is followed up by a Jesse Barr promo on Hector Guerrero. then a retort by Graham & Bugsy about the Birds. Next we get the awesome Flair/Windham match from World Wide. This is followed by the Mid-South episode that used to air on ESPN Classic.
