Greg "The Hammer" Valentine vs. Gary Black (8/25/82)

Hammer is back in the area after a long stint in WWF and he is a member of the House of Humperdink. Total squash with Hammer trying to break Black's leg afterwards before Wahoo runs out to make the save.

NWA World TV Title: "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff (8/18/82)

Valiant is all over Ivan at the start of the match and just pounds on him then attacks Humperdink who runs out and brings Ivan his loaded glove before Johnny Weaver runs in from the announce table with a metal pipe to run him off. Fun segment.

Cadillac Cup - Quarterfinals: Rowdy Roddy Piper vs. Ricky Steamboat (3/7/82)

This is from MLG and JIP after the intro not sure how much is missing but it starts with Piper working over Steamer. Piper is relentless here taking it to Steamer but Steamer is fun in his hope spots then makes a fun comeback where he pins Piper.

Pat Patterson & Jay Youngblood vs. Sgt. Slaughter & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine (October 1981) The Patterson/Slaughter feud reignites in Branford, Ontario. Good fun action with everyone fighting at the same time and Terry Yorkston stopping the match because he loses control.

NWA World TV Title: Cowboy Ron Bass © vs. "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff (November 1981)

Bass takes Jim Dalton's spot and puts his title on the line so Koloff jumps him from the start and it takes Bass going to the floor grabbing a chair getting DQed to get Koloff down. Chris Markoff & Nikolai Volkoff jumped in afterwards to help Ivan which turns into a wild pull-apart brawl.

Then we get clips of another Bass/Ivan match from a house show with no commentary. Fun for what it was.

"Number One" Paul Jones vs. "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff (November 1981)

Good back and forth action here with Koloff taking a good chunk of the match before Ole Anderson shows up and eventually gets involved shoving Roughhouse Fargo for the DQ. Jones had Ivan in an Indian Death Lock after he missed a Calf Branding off the top rope when Ole ran in but Steamer would come out to make the save.

Next we get clips of The Minnesota Wrecking Crew vs. Jake Roberts/Jay Youngblood from TV in November 1981. Fun match I wish we had in full.

US Heavyweight Title: Sgt. Slaughter © vs. Jay Youngblood (10/4/81)

This is from MLG. Slaughter is so damn good here bumping and selling for Youngblood as he pinballs around for multiple armdrags and other moves as the crowd goes nuts. Youngblood was relentless here working over Sarge's left arm which he was selling greatly for. Sarge would fight back though and keyed on Jay's back hitting a nice backbreaker then bending Jay over his knee wickedly. Jay comes back though going to his war dance before bringing it to Sarge chopping him numerous times before Slaughter hits a desperate Slaughter Cannon then locks on the Cobra Clutch with Jay fighting for a bit before passing out. Fun match from MLG and is a nomination.

Rowdy Roddy Piper vs. Jay Youngblood (October 1981)

This starts out with some fun amateur style matwork before Piper rolled himself out of the ring to the floor. Piper gets frustrated and tries to stall but Youngblood keeps up the attack taking Piper to the mat but Piper to his credit gathers himself on the floor and comes back in getting a nearfall on Jay with a sunset flip. Piper would hit a backbreaker which started his control section as he would focus on the back even using a bearhug before Jay would fight back only for Piper to counter with a sleeper. Piper looked good here on offense before hitting a suplex where he hit the back of his own head hard on the mat. Jay would get a nearfall after a cross body block and the crowd was very into this. Jay starts firing off chops before we got a double collision with both men getting up and firing off strikes trying to put the other one away but time would run out. Piper would jump Jay after the match pounding on him before the referees would get him out. Very fun TV match and a low-end nomination.

Flair is out with Wahoo & Jay Youngblood holding a baseball bat threatening the Andersons saying that he and his friends will make them leave. (September 1981)

Then we get a promo from Roddy Piper going nuts about a show in Greensboro on 4/17/82. (4/14/82)

Next we get another promo from Piper about Bob Armstrong & Jack Brisco and we get a taped promo from the Bullet and this is good stuff.

Rowdy Roddy Piper vs. Tony Anthony (March 1982)

Piper takes forever getting his gear off and then he gets in the ring right before the countout. Piper is ruthless here working over the future Dirty White Boy while calling him Armstrong or Brisco on various occasions.

Then we get a promo from Blackjack Mulligan Jr. (Barry Windham) about Sgt. Slaughter saying that he wants to face him before Jack Brisco shows up talking about the ongoing NWA World Tag Titles tournament.

Next we get the angle where The Ninja (Mr. Pogo) blew green mist in Jimmy Valiant's face.

Jake Roberts is out next with a great straw hat on talking about Sgt. Slaughter and they show clips of a match on 4/21/82 where Jake Roberts helped Terry Taylor take on Don Kernodle & Jim Nelson and Jake hitting Sarge with his kneelift.

Jack Brisco is out next for a promo with Bob Caudle before Piper comes out doing what he was doing in GCW at the time being a prick interviewing the faces. Jack then calmly challenges Piper to face him in the ring but Piper declines in his own way. (April 1982)

Then we get a Sarge promo on Wahoo who is coming back to the area to go after the US title. (April 1982)

This is followed up by a Wahoo promo with his then tag partner Don Muraco and they are in the NWA World Tag Titles tournament. Muraco is fun here. (April 1982)

Next we get another Jack/Piper confrontation with this one being a little more heated than the last one as they show clips of a Tommy Rich match against Ali Bey talking about Piper injuring Rich in GCW. This is great stuff. Extra material. (April 1982)

Piper then comes back out with his leather strap bragging about how great he is and how he whipped Tommy Rich. Slaughter then followed talking about defending his title against all comers. (April 1982)

Wahoo & Muraco then cut a promo after a match gloating about how great they are as a team. (April 1982)

Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Sgt. Slaughter (4/28/82)

This is a non-title match with a 30:00 time limit. The action early was really good as both men were working in and out of holds with some really good counter wrestling going on. Wahoo was really going after Sarge's left leg here and I loved everything about this including him chopping Sarge on the back as he was working the knee. We go to a break with actual commercials which was cool including Paul Gleason shilling Clinomint and we come back to Wahoo just teeing off on Sarge. This turned into a slugfest before Sarge got control hitting the big Slaughter Cannon and signaling for the Cobra Clutch but Wahoo would break out every time then firing back with chops. Kernodle & Nelson would come out but Muraco would come out to neutralize them allowing Wahoo to hit a big chop to get the win. David Crockett was great here going nuts as the crowd was crazy as well. Jake joins Muraco in the celebration and both men cut really good promos afterwards. Fairly easy nomination.

Next we get a promo from Piper about a match with Steamer on 2/11/82 in Winston-Salem and Piper is crazed.

Piper is then out talking about the upcoming NWA World Tag Titles tournament followed up by Ivan Koloff & Austin Idol.

Steamer is out next with Mulligan Jr. talking about Flair's TV match with Jay Youngblood which was the beginning of the Flair heel turn and Mulligan Jr. going for Sarge.

Then we get clips of a Wahoo/Piper match from Greensboro on 10/7/81.

Jay Youngblood vs. Ole Anderson (October 1981)

The Grappler does some commentary here and gets involved of course. Youngblood fires off some serious chops here and has Ole reeling before Grappler just jumps in for the DQ before Ron Bass, Leroy Brown, & Jake Roberts make the save.

"Bad Bad" Leroy Brown vs. Ole Anderson (10/4/81)

This is from MLG and the Toronto fans are hot for Leroy here as before the match he saved Pat Patterson from a beating by Ivan Koloff & Ole. Leroy is fun here working over Ole with headbutts before Ole goes to a foreign object that he uses to take control. Leroy doesn't allow this for long as he comes firing back using his power to dominate Ole until Ivan runs back out using his boot to put Leroy down. Patterson would run back out to make the save and this setup a tag match for the next show.
