A low end nomination. This was a nice t.v bout. I love these main eventer's vs. underneath guys. Flair and the Horseman are masters of this. We get a little back and forth. Flair takes a powder and begis to shine up Houston. Flair would get some quick heel cut offs, but Houston would show moxie and turn the tide back to his favor. Flair gets some heat on Houston with some nice suplexes to show his superority. Again Houston fights from underneath and makes a comeback but misses a cross body which results in losing via Figure 4. Post match Arn comes out for a beatdown. Dusty comes out for the save. This was worked perfectly for what they were trying to do. NWA TV 85-86 Disc 1

"Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. Sam Houston (11/12/85)

Sam gives Flair fits here when he can but Flair always finds a way to get the upper hand. This is a very effective TV match beacuse it tells the story of the young Houston who is rising up and is getting to shine on the World Champion but he isn't quite up to par yet to beat him although he's getting closer. Flair wins with the Figure-Four and Arn runs out trying to help Flair break his leg until Dusty comes out and makes the save using his orthopedic boot. Very fun match and I'll pass it on as a low-end nomination.
