Posted September 8, 201411 yr comment_5623494 Brian Adias & Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Bobby Bass & Gary Royal (4/25/84) Squash. Next we get a promo from Angelo Mosca Jr. with his newly regained Mid-Atlantic Title and says that he is representing America. He fumbles and stumbles throughout this. This is followed up by a Street promo where Jimmy Valiant comes out and kisses Miss Linda which infuriates Street while Linda is smiling from it so Street hits her in the head. Street is hilarious in his anger. Definite extra. Vinnie Valentino vs. "Big Cat" Ernie Ladd (4/25/84) Ladd slaps up Vinnie a bit before Rufus R. Jones comes down to ringside to coach Vinnie and it helps as Vinnie takes the fight to Ladd. Vinnie takes Ladd down with a headscissors then tries to do it again but Ladd would launch him over the top rope for the DQ. Rufus is pissed wanting a piece of Ladd and eventually gets in the ring where he brawls with Ladd for a bit as the crowd goes nuts. Exotic Adrian Street vs. Mark Fleming (4/25/84) Street takes this fairly easily and after the match he & Linda paints Fleming's face with lipstick until Valiant runs down to make the save and the crowd goes nuts. Street would jump him though and they put lipstick on his face before running away. More extra material. Then we get promos from Tully, Ladd, & Street for the Roanoke show on 5/13. Ladd is hilarious here talking about JYD & Rufus being greasy and from the ghetto. Penny Mitchell vs. Leilani Kai (4/25/84) This match is a backdrop to really start the Tully/Johnny Weaver angle where they take shots at each other on commentary. Next we get one of the awesome videos for The Great Kabuki. Then we get a promo with Flair fresh out the shower talking about how great it is to be working in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina that night. Myrtle Beach & Hilton Head is a great area no doubt and full of hot women so Naitch definitely was at home. Flair then takes some shots at Tully for not defending his TV title on TV and challenges him to put his title on the line against his. Extra material. (4/25/84) Paul Jones is out next walking with a cane after his injuries in cage matches with Jimmy Valiant and he vows revenge. Angelo Mosca then shows up talking about how if they want a fight then he & Assassin should take him on. Jones then swings at Mosca and misses before breaking the cane over his back. Next we get Ricky Steamboat and his then wife Susan showing an exercise routine and this is followed up by a promo from Ricky with his newly won US Heavyweight Title and says he wants the World Title next. Angelo Mosca Jr. vs. Barry Orton (4/25/84) Easy but ugly win for Mosca. "Pride of the Carolinas" Don Kernodle & "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Sam Houston & Gary Quartenelli (4/25/84) Gary would go on to become the Italian Stallion and this was a squash. Then we get promos from Mark Youngblood, Rufus, & Valiant for the 5/13 show in Roanoke. Valiant talks about running for president. Rufus R. Jones, "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant, & Pistol Pez Whatley vs. Ben Alexander, Doug Vines, & Kurt Von Hess (4/25/84) Squash. Kernodle & Koloff are out for a promo next with Koloff holding an American flag. King Kong Bundy & "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Randy Barber & Doug Vines (5/9/84) Babyface Bundy is a hoot. "Pride of the Carolinas" Don Kernodle & "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Jay & Mark Youngblood (5/9/84) This is the day after the heels won the NWA World Tag Titles. The Youngbloods dominated this match early taking it to the heels but Kernodle nailed Mark with his version of the Slaughter Cannon allowing the heels to gain control but Mark was pesky and would not go down without a fight. Kernodle was such a great tag wrestler and worked so good with everyone he teamed with plus it didn't hurt that Ivan was a tremendous tag wrestler as well. Jay would eventually get the hot tag and he ran wild on the heels firing off chops but Gary Hart would load up Kernodle's armpad which he would use to nail Jay with a clothesline but was called for the DQ. The heels then tried to take out Jay before Wahoo & Whatley ran out to make the save. Very fun sprint that if it had a clean finish could've been a nomination. Next we get promos from Paul Jones, Tully, Street, & Ladd about the 5/13 show in Roanoke. Then we get Adrian Street rocking a powder blue 70's style tuxedo where he talks up his latest video "I'm In Love With Me." This is followed up by promos from Bundy, Rufus, & Wahoo which is quite the visual with Johnny Weaver. The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Steve Brinson & Mike Jackson (5/9/84) Animal almost breaks Brinson's neck with a slam and Jackson didn't even get in the ring. Ricky Steamboat is out next with his US Heavyweight Title talking about his comeback before Tully comes out and wants to interview Steamer himself where he makes a challenge for his title then starts shoving Steamer so Steamer comes back with some hard strikes in response. Ricky Steamboat vs. Barry Orton (5/9/84) Spotlight match for Steamer when Tully would come out as Steamer finishes off Orton then comes in the ring for a brawl where he beats Steamer down with Orton's help. Extra material. Next we get promos from Rufus & Valiant about the 5/13 show in Roanoke. Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title: Angelo Mosca Jr. © vs. The Masked Outlaw (5/9/84) The Outlaw is the suspended Dory Funk Jr. under a mask and when it comes to guys that lose town or are suspended working under a hood Dory's version is the most hilarious because it's well Dory. Mosca actually worked better with Dory than he did with Ivan which is interesting and this was okay for what it was with an interesting finish as Gary Hart pulled Mosca's foot from under him as he tried to bridge up with Dory and he fell down. Then we get a promo from Kernodle & Koloff holding their newly won NWA World Tag Titles before being joined by Gary Hart & Outlaw where the celebrate their titles then Tully talking shit on Steamer to end the show. The Masked Outlaw vs. Keith Larsen (5/16/84) Outlaw takes this fairly easily but has to fight off Angelo Mosca Jr. afterwards. Tully & Weaver get into it at the stage as Tully welcomes David Crockett back to commentary and the tension is building. Next we get the really good Tully video which is followed up by Weaver showing Tully getting beat up by Steamer again which pisses Tully off. "Pride of the Carolinas" Don Kernodle & "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Barry Hart & Dale Veasy (5/16/84) The jobbers make this competitive but the champs are just too good. Then we get promos from Jones, Assassin, Hart, Outlaw, Tully, Kernodle, & Street for the 5/27 show in Roanoke. Angelo Mosca Jr. vs. Bob Brown (5/16/84) Good win for Mosca. Next we get another promo from Street about his feud with Jimmy Valiant where there is video of Valiant giving flowers and candy to Miss Linda which disgusted Street. Valiant then comes out singing Culture Club calling Street "Boy George" so he gets slapped by Street with a glove full of rocks which was great. They paint Valiant yet again. Extra material. (5/16/84) "Mr. Unpredictable" Dick Slater vs. Jason Walker (5/16/84) Squash.
