I guess I have been spending too much time watching Attitude era stuff from 1998-99. This wasn't huge crowd heat. Great segment though.

This has all been a bit tedious so far. Feels like a slightly above average episode of Raw. They really need to work on making the undercard feel special. Everything is done in isolation as well, they should have a level of interaction between different feuds and characters.

For the most part, the Nashville crowd has actually been pretty good. Been hot all night, really.

Is Mark Henry shoot hurt or something? He can barely walk...

Mark Henry vs. Rusev

- I liked the headbutts early on but pretty light for such two hard hitting dudes. Smart strategy to ram Henry’s back into the stairs to take control. Weak super kick but Rusev but Henry’s facial expression was awesome. Man, too bad. This should have been more but they worked too light and Henry lost.

No clue what to make of that. I loved Henry's pre-match tears and there were aspects of the match I thought were smart, but Rusev struggles to work compelling control segments in matches that aren't sprintish.

I think the Russev streak of great PPV matches stopped. It was okay but nothing like the Big E and Swagger matches

That was disappointing.

Wouldn't have guessed that Rusev would have better matches with Swagger & Big E. That was a bore.

Fun hoss fight, really liked the ending. And again, LOVED Henry crying at the end of the anthem. Too perfect. Really good show so far.

Some of the offense at the beginning wasn't even connecting. That doesn't look good when you have two big guys working a more plodding match.

I didn't like this. a lot of the strikes seemed like it was being worked under water. This didn't come close to the Swagger matches in quality, and heat.

I thought there were enough good big moments to make it a fun match, although several things hit an off note. The desperation WSS, the camel clutch power-out (though executed weirdly, it got a huge reaction) and the final three big super kick were really cool moments.

just catching up now. Re: Sandow selling at what Miz got hit with. When I first saw Aaron Stevens in Chaotic in MA, he'd do that on the floor when his stablemates were getting hit and it was hilarious. Funniest thing I've ever seen live in wrestling maybe. I imagine this wasn't that.

Man, I love Brock's promos. It's such a refreshing break from all the overscripted promos full of verbiage people don't actually say in real life to see a guy say "I'm gonna beat his ass". That's all you need in wrestling ffs.

Jericho Vs. Orton in 2014. LOL.

 

I haven't watched RAW in a month. No idea how this feud even happened. I just know that Jericho is leaving.

Ambrose-Rollins is a feud that has actually built pretty nicely to a Hell in the Cell match.

I'm curious to see whether this match is any better than Jericho's matches with Bray Wyatt.

Well, unless they do an impromptu garbage match, this will be underwhelming.

Jericho v. Orton is the epitome of "who gives a fuck?" wrestling

Jericho/Orton continuing the grand WWE modern tradition of feuds that start with random beatdowns, according to the videos they showed. Such lazy writing. What is the point in this match? Might as well have Jericho wrestle someone new like Ryback or Titus O'Neill or Rusev. Or use him as a special attraction instead of someone who wrestles every week, he has zero freshness at all for someone who comes back for a nostalgia run every now and then.

I hope after Jericho leaves again this time it's the last time we have to see one of his bullshit "comebacks" again.

Jericho's presence is no longer exciting, but that's the WWE's fault entirely. They've booked him to no longer matter. A boring, dead-end feud with Orton doesn't help. I hope Jericho wins, even though this is supposed to be his last night.

Crowd seems way more into this than we are.

Gotta give Orton and Jericho credit. Yes the finish was absurdly telegraphed,but they worked hard, got the crowd into the math and it ended up being pretty good.
