Posted September 22, 201411 yr comment_5627702 This starts with a promo from Bull & T-Bolt about the status of the National Tag Titles and who are the true champions as well as talking shit to the Andersons who were in the ring. (4/27/85) Ole Anderson vs. Gene Ligon (4/27/85) Ole takes his aggression out on poor Ligon while Arn talks shit on Bull & Bolt. Next we get a promo with Budro & JJ about Budro's future including Magnum TA. Magnum is out next for a promo about his future challengers. Then we get a promo with Ronnie Garvin who is making his return to TBS after being away since the JCP switch and he has the National Title talking about the heels in the area. (4/27/85) Dusty is out next and he says that he has found a gorilla to take on as a partner to face the Koloffs for the NWA World Tag Titles and he has his cage Betty Lou with him for the gorilla to be put in then promised the gorilla next week. Dusty is awesome here and Tony Schiavone's laughing is great. Extra material (4/27/85) Flair then cuts a promo about all of his challengers and talks up just about everyone in the NWA. (4/27/85) Bob Roop vs. Golden Terror (4/27/85) Easy win for Roop. The Koloffs are out next with Ivan saying that Dusty and his gorilla are nothing but a joke. Nikita then talks about wrestling bears in Russia as a kid. (4/27/85) "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. George South (4/27/85) Garvin looks really good here. Paul; Jones and his Army are out next for a promo about their war with Valiant. US Heavyweight Title: Magnum TA © vs. Scott "Hog" Irwin (4/27/85) Flair is at ringside doing commentary scouting Magnum. I always thought that when JCP took over TBS they should've put Irwin back in the Super Destroyer gimmick but they didn't. Irwin really takes the battle to Magnum here which was very rare at this time as Magnum was a steamroller in his matches. Magnum would get some shots in but it was a desperation knee lift off the turnbuckle followed up by a belly-to-belly suplex to win the match. Magnum had quite the fight on his hands here but not a nomination. Tully & Baby Doll are out next for a promo wanting all the titles. Dusty then comes back out talking about all the heels in the promotion basically. Ivan then confronts Dusty and this is hilarious. Extra material. Thunderbolt Patterson vs. Randy Barber (4/27/85) Easy win for T-Bolt but he gets jumped by the Andersons afterwards until the Bull would make the save. Flair then comes back out and rips on Dusty's clothes and this is hilarious. Flair is so great here. Next we get clips of the angle where Dusty spoke for Valiant after his throat got injured. Outlaw Ron Bass vs. Rocky King (4/27/85) Bass is back from an AJPW tour and he destroys King debuting his new iron claw finisher. Magnum then comes out for a promo talking about his win over Irwin and Flair's comments. Then we get the Tully/Sam Houston match from WWW. Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title: "Avalanche" Buzz Tyler vs. Black Bart (4/17/85) This was taped in Rock Hill, South Carolina and Buzz was insanely over since that was his home state. Lots of working holds on the mat here for these big guys which isn't really what you would want from these guys although it would pick up late as they started brawling before Bart chunked Tyler over the top rope to the floor after a ref bump so Dillon could attack Tyler. Buzz would answer that though by throwing Bart through the ropes himself to the floor. Buzz then tried to slam Bart back into the ring but Dillon would pull Tyler's foot from under him and Bart fell on Tyler to win the title or so it seemed. Roughhouse Fargo ran down and told Tommy Young what happened but the decision wasn't reversed. The match got pretty decent at the end but no nomination. Dusty is out next talking up his gorilla that was coming to town. Bull & T-Bolt are out next for more trash talks on the Andersons. T-Bolt looks like he is ready for some church. Bob Roop vs. George South (4/27/85) South proves pesky for Roop but the shoulder breaker would be the equalizer. Koloffs are out next with Ivan talking about Flair ducking them and then Dusty's gorilla. Magnum then comes out for another promo about his future challengers. "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Vernon Deaton (4/27/85) Garvin again looks good here. Koloffs then come out yet again whining about Dusty. The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Arn & Ole Anderson) vs. Rocky King & Lee Ramsey (4/27/85) Total squash and they cut a promo afterwards.
