Posted September 26, 201411 yr comment_5628907 "Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. Sam Houston (7/9/85) Houston gives Budro a battle early on which was expected since he was getting the Dusty protege push and he went for the kill early trying to hit his bulldog but Landell would stop him dead in his tracks and dropped him with a backdrop suplex. Landell now goes in full control but Houston is pesky as hell until Budro finishes him off with a figure-four. Landell refuses to break the hold until Ron Bass runs out and decks Dillon then drops an elbow on Landell for good measure. The crowd was nuts for this. Ivan & Nikita Koloff, & Krusher Khruschev vs. Mark Fleming, Sam Houston, & "Hard Rock" Ricky Reeves (7/16/85) Caudle talks about how the RnR won the NWA World Tag Titles the week before and that the Russians were very angry so they murder these guys. The RnR are out next with their newly won titles and they show clips of the match where they won the titles. Next we get the skit of Dusty taking Baby Doll to Nelson Royal's ranch and this is a slam dunk extra. "Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. George South (7/16/85) Budro wins this very quickly. Dillon then cuts a promo talking about Budro's greatness and how he should be the NWA champion but it's Dusty's fault and they show tape of a Flair/Budro match. The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Lee Ramsey & Ron Rossi (7/16/85) It's amazing how fast the RnR got over with the fans in JCP....especially with no hype videos or anything before they came in. Then we get promos from Budro & Jones about the 8/4 show in Roanoke. Next we get the 2nd part of the Nelson Royal Ranch video where Baby Doll rides away on Floyd the horse. "Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez & "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. The Barbarian & Superstar Billy Graham (7/16/85) The faces dominate the heels early on with the fans loving every minute of it as any time the heels tried to mount an offense they would get neutralized. Bull would hit his Flying Burrito on SBG when Paul Jones jumped in using his cane but Bull would take him out with a reverse cross body block off the middle rope. Fun segment. Magnum is out next saying that he and all the other champions must be on watch because there were plenty of people wanting their titles. Magnum TA vs. Joel Deaton (7/16/85) Magnum doesn't take too long before putting Deaton away. Then we get promos from Bass & Valiant about the 8/4 show in Roanoke. The Russians then come out and they whine about Nikita not beating Flair and losing the tag titles to the RnR. Cowboy Ron Bass vs. Kendo Nagasaki (7/16/85) It's Dillon's new charge against his old charge. This was competitive but not very good although the finish was nice as Bass hit an atomic drop with Kendo hitting the turnbuckle then getting caught in a schoolboy. Dusty is out next with Caudle talking about Baby Doll riding away and this was good stuff. Tully starts the next show walking out with his newly won US Title which he got help from Baby Doll dressed as a police officer and he was bragging about catching Magnum when he was looking for Flair. "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff & Krusher Khruschev vs. Denny Brown & Stoney Burke (7/24/85) Easy win for the Russians. Bass then comes out and talks about his battles with Dillon then reaffirms that he wants to help Dusty. Next we get the debut of the MX on MACW with clips from TBS. The RIsing Suns (Tatsutoshi Goto & Kendo Nagasaki) vs. Sam Houston & Pat Tanaka (7/24/85) Suns make their MACW debut and defeat a game babyface team fairly easily. Magnum comes out next all battered and bruised from an attack by the Andersons and we get clips of him losing the US Title to Tully in Charlotte on 7/21 in Charlotte. Extra material. "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Gerald Finley (7/24/85) Finley is wearing pants like Mark Lewin here which was interesting plus boots like Abby which was even more interesting. Finley had a shaved head and him working an Abby's son gimmick would've been very fun. Nikita destroys him though. Then we get promos from Budro & Dillon about the 8/4 show in Roanoke. Dusty & the returned Baby Doll are out next with Baby Doll wearing the white dress that Dusty wanted her to wear. Dusty is pissed though about Magnum losing his title. Magnum TA vs. Ron Rossi (7/24/85) Magnum is PISSED and destroys Ross using Tully's Slingshot Suplex to win then gives him a belly-to-belly on the floor. Flair is out next to again put over the entire roster and set Nikita aside saying that he isn't done with him yet. The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Joel Deaton & Mark Fleming (7/24/85) Another dominant win for the RnR. Next we get a promo from Bass about the 8/4 show in Roanoke. Bull is out next talking about wanting a Mexican Death Match with The Barbarian.
