November 6, 201410 yr Author comment_5638415 Last few minutes. DDP interferes and attacks Hogan, even putting Sting on top of him. DDP gives the referee a Diamond Cutter and Bret comes down to attack DDP. Then Sid shows up, followed by Luger. Then Sting grabs the baseball bat Luger brought into the ring and hits Hogan with it in an ill-fated heel turn to win the WCW World Title.
June 20, 201510 yr comment_5678912 It takes a village to take out Hogan including Sting turning heel. I got to give WCW credit, turning Sting heel is pretty ballsy and worth a shot. It didn't work of course.

October 20, 20177 yr comment_5817236 I'm not sure how much more you can fuck fans in the ass like this with downer PPV endings that don't really answer anything--well, I speak in theory, because Sting draws a pretty big pop when he waffles Hogan with the bat. The idea of Sting turning heel is risky but not terrible in its own right, but since the real Sting would never actually want to commit to being a bad guy, it was never going to work.
July 8, 20205 yr comment_5922339 They didnt need Bret, DDP, or Sid. But that moment after Hogan knocks Luger down and seems excited to be able to prove to Sting that Lex was lying, and then to slowly realize that Sting was holding the bat Luger brought was great. Then when Sting hits Hulk with the bat it was awesome. It didn't have to be a full heel turn. It could have just been Sting going tweener and deciding Hogan could not be forgiven for years of NWO. It feels like that's how the fans took it.
