Mankind is despondent and sits on the ring steps looking away from the ring. Rock wrestles the match on his own. It really was a brilliant idea to work the book into storylines. HHH runs in behind the ref's back and pedigrees Rock to give the Hollys the tag titles and Foley just walks off. I like that booking - Rock needed a big out to do a job to either Holly. Austin runs out and beats up HHH and throws him back in the ring where The Rock gets his revenge with a Rock Bottom and People's Elbow, but Austin cuts him off with middle fingers before he drops it, then gives HHH a stunner himself. I like this.

Rock has a lot of handicaps, between his hurt ribs and Foley refusing to participate. That's needed for the Hollys to be credible main event opponents for Rock 'n Sock. Amazingly, in a match with the Rock in it (granted, against low-level opponents), Foley still draws the biggest pop of the match just for briefly standing up. HHH costs Rock the tag titles but gets nailed by Austin afterward. Seeing Austin awkwardly face off with the Hollys while Rock does his thing to HHH in the ring is an odd little collision of worlds. Austin and Rock stare each other down as we go off the air.
