It really was a brilliant idea to work the book into storylines. HHH runs in behind the ref's back and pedigrees Rock to give the Hollys the tag titles and Foley just walks off. I like that booking - Rock needed a big out to do a job to either Holly. Austin runs out and beats up HHH and throws him back in the ring where The Rock gets his revenge with a Rock Bottom and People's Elbow, but Austin cuts him off with middle fingers before he drops it, then gives HHH a stunner himself. I like this.
August 1, 201510 yr comment_5689427 Rock almost beats both Holly's by himself till HHH interferes. I also like this as it helped the Hollys who got a win and Rock continues his feud with HHH and it writes off the Rock N sock stuff.
October 12, 20159 yr comment_5704046 The Rock 'n' Sock Connection had 3 tag title reigns which lasted a grand total of 15 days. Aah 1999. This was indeed a good way of booking the book storyline.
December 6, 20177 yr comment_5823218 Rock has a lot of handicaps, between his hurt ribs and Foley refusing to participate. That's needed for the Hollys to be credible main event opponents for Rock 'n Sock. Amazingly, in a match with the Rock in it (granted, against low-level opponents), Foley still draws the biggest pop of the match just for briefly standing up. HHH costs Rock the tag titles but gets nailed by Austin afterward. Seeing Austin awkwardly face off with the Hollys while Rock does his thing to HHH in the ring is an odd little collision of worlds. Austin and Rock stare each other down as we go off the air.
March 18, 20187 yr comment_5836276 Even with injured ribs and Foley not participating, I didn't believe in the Hollys. It was HHH's Pedigree that did Rocky in. Austin attacks HHH. Great moment when Austin flips off Rock to stop him from People's Elbow and then Stunners Helmsley.
