This is from Boston and pretty damn similar to the one from MSG I just nominated. Again it has great structure to it. The story of the match was almost identical. Both teams are tremendous at working body parts which I'm a mark for. It's formula WWF tag in a big shine for the faces, followed with a heat segment. The shine segment is more than the heat. In the end though I think we'll only need one of these matches if both make the cut; and I'd pick the Boston one.

Demolition vs. Strike Force (Boston 5/7/88)
Martel gets Ax in the Boston Crab super quick. That’s a cool wrinkle to start a match. Smash breaks the submission. Martel with some nice arm drags early. Gorilla says he can’t tell Martel & Tito apart if he’s not looking at their faces. Sometimes, I’m not sure either to be fair. We get some clubbering action from the Demos. Martel is FIP. The Demos work over the back of Martel. Smash hits a back breaker. This is pretty simple stuff, but well balanced. Tito gets the hot tag. Strong run from Tito as usual. He hits a flying burrito/figure four combo & it looks like Strike Force are gonna win back the Tag Belts. Nope. Mr. Fuji gets a cane shot on Tito. GREAT near fall where Martel saves the match at the last second. Martel then STIFFS THE FUCK out of Fuji with a right hand. Awesome. This allows the Demos to use the cane again though & steal the win. This is a good match, but I’ve seen better from both teams. I like the Demos but they didn’t bring enough interesting twists here. The match is solid, simple tag formula but didn’t stick out to me other than the strong false finish. Maybe I’ll like their MSG match from a few weeks before. I’m going no.

I like this more than Devon. The faces were great working that arm over and not letting the Demos to control. I like that Ax caused the trip up and not Mr. Fuji like usual. I thought that thr Demos only using the head vice as their control offense was sort of weak. I loved the break ups and the false cane finish only to lead to the salt throw getting the pin. The Can Ams match was much better as a whole and this one still deserves consideration. Middle to solid Nomination.
