Posted October 6, 201410 yr comment_5631521 This starts with clips of Flair vs. Sarge from PWUSA. Then we get some random Wonderful World of Disney film from ABC. NWA World Six-Man Tag Titles: Ivan & Nikita Koloff, & Krusher Khruschev © vs. Cowboy Ron Bass, Starship Eagle, & "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant (8/24/85) The faces dominate early and the action is fine nothing special although Bass doing a headscissors on the Russians like he was Ricky Morton was great. The Eagle/Nikita exchange was fun because Eagle was bigger than Nikita and was throwing him around but Nikita caught him with the Russian Sickle to win. Next we get Bull & Garvin vs. Black Bart & Thunderfoot from 12/15/85 and it's JIP which if we can find this complete it could be worthy of a nomination. NWA World Tag Titles: The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) © vs. The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) (8/31/86) Dusty is doing color with Schiavone here but is there mainly to watch out for Big Bubba Rogers. This is your standard solid match between these teams but I really dug Gibson here as his FIP section was better than Morton's which is no slight to him plus he had some fire on offense. MX were ruthless here on offense just tearing the RnR apart before the grand comeback takes place. Pee Wee Anderson gets bumped and Condrey hits Gibson with a tennis racket then pins him but Eaton was the legal guy which Dusty pointed out. A big brawl then took place with Dusty & Bubba involved and Dusty hit a big splash off the top rope on Dusty who was covering Morton. This was really solid stuff but for these teams it doesn't compare with their other classics. Low-end nomination is the right call. We go back in time a little next with Dusty & Baby Doll out with the National Title talking about Flair and his fashion show he was doing earlier. (2/1/86) The Barbarian vs. Jim Jeffers (2/1/86) Squash. Next we get a promo from Arn & Tully about the Crockett Cup and Dusty/Baby Doll where Arn says that where he comes from women either cook or make babies. (3/29/86) Magnum TA vs. Bob Owens (3/29/86) Squash. Then we get the Crockett Cup press conference. Arn then comes out whining about he & Tully being the 4th seed saying that it is ridiculous and they should be #1. (3/15/86) Dusty then comes out with Baby Doll talking about the Horsemen basically stripping him of everything and he will beat them naked if he has to. (3/15/86) Next we get a promo from Jimmy Garvin & Precious and Garvin at this time was at his cheesiest character wise. They show Garvin a video of Wahoo from CWF where he was beating on all the top names of the area. Garvin then says he isn't afraid. Then we get Baby Doll coming out while Arn, Tully, & Dillon are out for a promo and challenged Dillon to fight her in the ring. Dillon is hilarious here taking off his shoes and tie but America's Team run out to take out Arn & Tully. Tully uses JJ's shoe though on both of them but the faces make their own comebacks trying to break both men's legs. Great segment. Next we get another promo from Dusty. Then we get clips of Jimmy Garvin vs. George South from 4/19/86. Bull is out next talking about his match with Arn on TV later that day. (4/19/86) Gorgeous Jimmy then comes out next talking about how he is tired of Wahoo and wants new challengers. "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Tony Zane (4/19/86) Ivan takes care of the future Mr. Atlanta very easily. The Koloffs then cut a promo on Magnum afterwards with Ivan talking about how Americans love to smoke and how they will die of cancer. NWA World TV Title: Arn Anderson © vs. "Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez (4/19/86) It was a year and two weeks since Arn & Bull met on the first ever episode of JCP on TBS and this was the resumption of their great feud. Dusty is on commentary here with Tony & David as well. There is some good back and forth action to start with Manny keying on both the arm and the leg. Bull is especially ruthless working over Arn's left leg but Arn would throw Manny high in the air as he tried a cross body block and that gave him the chance to finally go on an extended offense. Bull fought back though and hit his Flying Burrito but Arn got his foot on the rope right as the bell rang for the 20:00 draw. Tully then jumped Bull as Dillon was arguing with Dusty then Garvin came out and KOed Arn with his bad hand. This was a very good match and a low-end nomination. Corny is out next for a promo about the Crockett Cup and this is good.
