Posted October 13, 201410 yr comment_5632942 This starts with a Bash 86 Update featuring comments from Bob Geigel. Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Bill Mulkey (5/27/86) One chop and that's it. Corny is out next with Big Bubba for a promo where he introduces him properly. Robert Gibson vs. Gene Ligon (5/27/86) Gibson is working singles because Morton's nose is broken. Gibson wins this in like 30 seconds after a fucking suplex in 1986. Next we get promos from Corny, Koloffs, & Arn about the 7/1 Veterans Stadium show. Then we get the Magnum/Nikita press conference and this is a slam dunk extra. Dusty & Baby Doll are out next for a promo about everything that's going on and Dusty is extra pissed at the Russians for their attack on Magnum. Tully Blanchard & "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal vs. Rocky Kernodle & George South (5/27/86) ugh.....Steve Regal.....I never understood why they linked him with Tully Blanchard Enterprises at the time. The jobbers got a bit of offense in on Tully not Regal which made no sense. Next we get promos from Valiant & Magnum for the 7/1 Veterans Stadium show. Ivan & Krusher then cut a promo on Magnum, Dusty, & Roadies. "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Tony Zane (5/27/86) I love Tony Zane's UGA pullover he wore to the ring but he took it off and got destroyed. Corny & Bubba are back out again for Corny to talk more shit on Dusty. The next show is the debut episode of NWA Pro Wrestling which has been rebranded from Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling. The Russians are out next for a promo talking about Magnum being stripped of the US Title because of the press conference and they are gloating. "Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez, Hector Guerrero, & "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Golden Terror, Gene Ligon, & Tony Zane (6/3/86) The jobbers have no chance here. Tully & Dillon are out next talking about Tully knocking Garvin out in a match for the first time in his career. RnR are out next for a promo with Morton wearing his new faceguard which will allow him to compete again. "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Vernon Deaton (6/3/86) Garvin just toys with Deaton before putting him away. Tully & Dillon are out again talking about Garvin being knocked out on 5/23/86 in Richmond and we get clips of the match where Garvin faced Leo Burke in a taped fist match because Tully supposedly had an injured shoulder and was in a sling. It was all a hoax of course and Tully knocked out Garvin with his taped fist. Extra material. Magnum TA vs. Bill Mulkey (6/3/86) The Boss is pissed and takes it out on Mulkey. Then we get promos from the Russians, Arn, & Flair for the Veterans Stadium show on 7/1. Next we get another Bash Update where Bob Geigel strips Magnum of his US Title after Magnum punches him out. Extra material. The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Todd Champion & Sam Houston (6/3/86) The faces look good early on but the MX overpower them even though the fans were fucking molten hot for their opponents. The Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium was easily one of the greatest TV taping venues of all-time. Jim Crockett comes out next and announces that there will be a Best of 7 Series to determine who will become the new US Champion. Baron Von Raschke & Shaska Whatley vs. Italian Stallion & George South (6/3/86) Quick squash. Ronnie Garvin is out next for a promo about Tully saying that payback is coming. "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Ron Rossi (6/3/86) Another squash. Next we get promos from Valiant, RnR, Baby Doll, & Magnum for the 7/1 show at Veterans Stadium. Arn is out next in a suit talking about how great he is and how he will defend his TV title against all men. Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Thunderfoot (6/3/86) Easy win for the Chief but he is jumped by Garvin & Regal afterwards and they beat him down with Garvin using a strap on Wahoo until the jobber brigade makes the save. Next we get stuff I've already seen.
