Flair is carted out on a stretcher and they treat this as a serious injury angle. Then the Filthy Animals jump Flair on the stretcher and hi-jack the ambulance while Torrie videotapes the whole thing. In one night, Russo got rid of Flair and Hogan for a few months with the idea of building up other guys then bringing both back in more of a legends role.
August 8, 201510 yr comment_5690908 Flair barely tries to kick out. It almost looked like Robinson stopped on purpose. Flair bleeds but it's useless compared to Sid's earlier in the night. DDP gets over big as a heel here but then the Filthy Animals take his heat. Oh Russo #3 of the night.
December 8, 20177 yr comment_5823341 Hey Charles, you're a great ref, but come on: call it as a shoot. The Flairs are all over the place in a program with both DDP and the Filthy Animals. The work down the stretch is pretty vicious but sort of pales compared to the U.S. title match we just saw. The seriousness of the injury angle is pretty much undone by the Animals' ambulance hijacking.
