November 11, 201410 yr Author comment_5639278 Here we go. After getting an elaborate intro, Seven shows up and buries his own gimmick. He insists on being Dustin Rhodes and talks about how much Goldust sucked and nearly ruined his career. He also mentions how the Powers That Be (he said it right!) told him Dustin Rhodes is boring, but too bad, he's going to be himself. Dustin is a good talker but I hate this shooty shooty shoot shoot shoot crap. Why not just drop the vignettes if Russo didn't like the gimmick?
August 23, 201510 yr comment_5693913 How much money did they waste on that entrance and those vignettes just to throw it all away? I mean I know it was a stupid gimmick but why even do it in the first place if you are just going to bury it. It's funny that Dustin buries Goldust only to comeback as goldust less than 2 years later.
October 17, 20159 yr comment_5705223 The all white makeup did look good. Plus he floated to the ring (slowly). Dustin buries the gimmick on its debut which doesn't make much sense until you remember shooting=ratings. And surprises=ratings. He was getting paid plenty of money for nothing so I doubt he cared much really.
December 15, 20177 yr comment_5824036 SHOOTING! Dustin's promo isn't bad and actually gets over. Too bad they'll shit on all this in a few months, but I can't even remember which regime turned him into the American Nightmare. Dustin telling us we'd "never forget the name of..." was a hell of a lame way to wrap things up.
