Given the composition of the lists, it appears "good game" 好勝負 means good/very good matches, and "name game" 名勝負 means excellent ones.

My Japanese isn't great but I think 名勝負 = famous matches rather than "excellent". But essentially...

名勝負 is mei shobu, which basically means "best match," though I believe it can also be used to describe historically famous bouts.

I don't know. I'd have to look for more people's blogs. He/she buys from Alfredo, which I thought was cool.

The All Japan list, especially the "name game" list, is pretty much the Usual Suspects through the 90s. If you took a look at Loss' rankings in the Yearbooks, the DVDVR 80s discussions/results, or the stuff I've pounded over the years, you're not going to find many if any surprises.

I came across this site some time ago. It's an interesting combination of "Meltzer consensus" and "PWO consensus", for lack of better terms. It's kind of neat to see a list that highly rates both Davey Richards vs. Eddie Edwards and El Dandy vs. Negro Casas.

It's his lucha ratings I like. Not a fan of lucha brawling at all. Sangre Chicana vs. MS-1 no more than average and the following week's trios terrible.
