That's obviously not working. Shelton's not going to get over unless he starts winning. And the idea when he was brought over from Smackdown was to make him an instant main eventer.

Sorry, i thought it was implied that I would have him win matches as part of his push. The first thing I would book would be a re-match with HBK, have it go to minute time limit draw and then let them tear it up on PPV with Shelton going over cleanly.

Sheldon Benjamin is a case of the WWE writers writing the same promos for different guys. Sheldon shouldn't be cracking jokes, his voice isn't right for it. His voice is very deep, he should be saying some badass things, not being a smartass.

You know, a lot of the problems faced by guys like Shelton could be fixed by being paired with someone who can talk.

 

Too bad male managers are passe` now, imagine how Heenan, Corny or even Jimmy Hart could help some of these young guys who can work but can't talk.

Sheldon can talk, though. He's just not saying the right things, the right way. In otherwords, its a characterization issue. He can't talk like The Rock, but I think he could still cut a money promo if he had the right material.

I'm still bothered that Booker T has never been able to cut that one awesome interview. Imagine if they pushed Booker as an angry badass.
