December 30, 20159 yr comment_5718088 This is clipped down too much to form a definitive opinion on. Pretty standard stuff for the time. Londos slickly counters Carnera's body scissors in a Boston Crab to pick up the first fall and they play off it in the final fall before the time limit expires. It's cool to see Londos in action, but this wasn't anything to write home about.
July 20, 20187 yr comment_5857724 Thesz had already unified the world titles at this point, yet this is billed as a world title match in the results I've seen. Can anyone confirm what world title? I'm confused.
July 20, 20187 yr comment_5857735 Wow! watching this now somebody has to tell me how this boxer vs wrestler match happened with Strangler Louis and Max Baer involved too!! Wow
July 20, 20187 yr comment_5857745 Jim Londos was the final NYSAC World Champion when that group folded in 1934. Wiki says that Ring Magazine continued to recognize him as the true world champion until Londos retired in 1946. So that is probably the belt he has.
July 20, 20187 yr comment_5857749 Interesting. So I'm guessing this is kind of an outlaw thing because Thesz had already bundled the NYSAC title in with the NWA World Title by 1950.
