"Latin Heartthrob" Al Perez & "Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko vs. Tommy Angel & Ricky Santana (4/6/88) Perez & Santana have a fun exchange early on but Angel comes in and gets squashed. Perez using a spinning toehold as a finisher in 1988 is something else then we get promo from Gary Hart and the heels afterwards. "Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. Alan Martin (4/6/88) The future Continental manager gets destroyed by Doc. Next we get the NWA Board of Directors meeting where Dusty Rhodes is stripped of the US Heavyweight Title and is banned for 120 days for attacking Tully Blanchard with a baseball bat during the Magnum TA angle. This is hilarious and a definite extra. Then we get a promo from Road Warrior Animal & Paul Ellering about the Dusty situation and they are outraged. "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Ryan Wagner (4/6/88) Nikita makes his return and has hair along with losing some of his muscle mass. Nikita was out for a while due to the health issues with his fiancee. Nikita cuts a promo after the match about Dusty being suspended and needing a partner for the Crockett Cup. Luger & Windham come out next with their NWA World Tag Titles and Luger talks about how he doesn't let Barry talk enough so he would let Barry do all the talking but Luger can't help himself towards the end. I'm guessing this was a sign of dissension to come. Luger is insane over here. Next we get the great Midnight Rider video set to Willie Nelson's version of course....The Rider joining Magnum by the campfire was great and while this gimmick sucked the videos were great. Extra material. Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Mike Jackson & Kendall Windham (4/6/88) This doesn't even go 2 minutes and we get a promo from the Horsemen afterwards about the Rider. Sting vs. The Destroyer (4/6/88) Whoever this Destroyer was he got destroyed and Sting cuts a promo afterwards about wanting the Crockett Cup. Flair is out next for a promo about the Crockett Cup and he takes shots at Luger for taking his shirt off earlier as well as bitching about the Rider..good stuff. "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Bob Emery (4/6/88) This goes about 30 seconds. Jim Crockett comes out next and says that Nikita must pick a partner for the Crockett Cup by next week which brings out Corny & MX to talk about the Dusty foolishness as well as the Fants. "Captain" Mike Rotundo & "Gamesmaster" Kevin Sullivan vs. Tony Bowman & El Negro (4/6/88) Total squash and a promo from the Varsity Club afterwards where Sullivan talks about his history with the Rider. Sullivan wants a coalition among the heel managers. "Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch & The Powers of Pain (The Barbarian & The Warlord) vs. Larry Davis, Italian Stallion, & Tony Suber (4/6/88) Easy win for the heels.
