October 8, 20159 yr comment_5702939 Don't forget, Hogan really wanted to work Bret in WCW but Bret got concussed. You know, two years after Bret arrived. In all fairness, you know what to expect from a Hogan interview at this stage. The road stories were entertaining enough. The plan at one point during the Fall was to do Hogan-Hart at Starrcade '99, so definitely some truth to that, but Russo came in and obviously plans changed. Bret returned to TV at Fall Brawl '99 and shook hands with Hogan and Sting IIRC before their title match. By the time Hogan was back in February, Bret was done so the best they settled for an angle was Hart laying out Hogan at the end of a TV (can't remember if it was Nitro or Thunder but they cut off the air before showing what happened as a cliffhanger for the next one).

Hogan has got a set of pre-packaged bullshit stories that he's usually semi-consistent with so it's funny to see him scramble when he does not have a ready-made answer. Like he doesn't know why Hart hates him. Podcast was entertaining for what it was but Hogan is Hogan so that's what you get.
October 8, 20159 yr Author comment_5703056 One slightly annoying thing: Flair tells that getting Ole fired story every week!
October 8, 20159 yr comment_5703058 One slightly annoying thing: Flair tells that getting Ole fired story every week! And on the weeks that he doesn't he tells the story about Blackjack punching Race.
October 8, 20159 yr comment_5703059 One slightly annoying thing: Flair tells that getting Ole fired story every week! Maybe he heard Ray Stevens tell it once.
October 11, 20159 yr comment_5703794 This is just speculation. Flair and his daughter were booked at Wizard World Austin. The day after the Hogan interview aired against WWE wishes. The Flairs were replaced by Kane and Lana.
October 22, 20159 yr comment_5706260 Listened to the Bruce Prichard ep yesterday. He was talking about the HHH-Rock rivalry back in the late 90s, saying it spilled over behind the scenes. Ric blurted out that he thinks they still don't like each other now. What a fantastic loose cannon he is!
November 4, 20159 yr comment_5708475 who in 2015 would have thought out of all the ex wrestlers podcasting Flair would have the best show? its everything Pipers podcast should have been but wasnt. I hope he drags in Scott Steiner or Kevin Nash for a discussion...
November 4, 20159 yr comment_5708485 I expected Flair's podcast to SUCK because of his Legends of wrestling appearances and I'm happy that I was completely wrong. This is the one podcast that I normally listen to right after it gets released. The latest edition with Schiavone had a great Black Scorpion story that had me legit laughing like an idiot, which was quite inconvenient because I was on a train in Bangkok.
November 4, 20159 yr comment_5708578 The Schiavone episode was a real blast with some fun stories, especially the Black Scorpion one noted above. Didn't love the Mooneyham one today. Felt like it never got below the surface.
December 24, 20159 yr comment_5717225 LOL! Okay, he has had Luger, Sting, Tully, JJ and now Mongo on. Clearly Hennig, Pillman, Benoit, Woman and Elizabeth, can't ever be on. Rift with Ole would prevent him from being on, I doubt Roma would be in a position to come on for much of the same reasons, and I'd assume Debra is also on the outs with those in the sport's circles as well. Likewise, I wonder if Jarrett is kind of a pariah for these shows despite still having relationships with TNA and whatever relationships he's cultivated with GFW. I assume a freeze on WWE employees being on independent podcasts without any sort of pre-existing arrangement (Austin and Y2J having video versions of their casts on The Network) is preventing Malenko and Arn to appear. So I guess that leaves Barry Windham and Sid as the only Horsemen left that can realistically appear on Flair's show?
December 25, 20159 yr comment_5717311 I really doubt Roma will come on as he's said some pretty derogatory stuff about Ric in shoot interviews before. Same with Sid. I would bet WWE would let Arn come and do his show.
January 23, 20169 yr Author comment_5722679 Flair watching Rumble 92 is a real treat. Recommended for all the Nature Boy marks.
January 23, 20169 yr comment_5722690 Flair watching Rumble 92 is a real treat. Recommended for all the Nature Boy marks. Weird random thing he said was that Darius Rucker has Flair's rumble 92 robe. It's crazy to think where random memorabilia ended up.
January 23, 20169 yr comment_5722765 Story with Paul Roma is that Flair and Arn had nothing bad to say about him and he had nothing bad to say about them. Then they goaded one side into badmouthing the other, and then told the other side what the other one said. That's how they got those DVD soundbytes.
January 23, 20169 yr comment_5722778 WWE producers knew how to manipulate to get responses that would make a good story. They tricked Piper into badmouthing Bret on the originally planned and later canned "Screwed: The Bret Hart Story" by saying "Bret Hart tells everyone he's the greatest technical wrestler to ever live. Do you agree?" and then Piper said "No, Bob Orton was" and started in before stopping when he realized what they were doing.
January 24, 20169 yr comment_5722844 Flair watching Rumble 92 is a real treat. Recommended for all the Nature Boy marks. Is he doing commentary over the match or just talking about it?
January 27, 20169 yr comment_5723810 I listened to the pod today while doing some work from home. It's a lot of fun, well worth listening to.
