June 21, 201510 yr comment_5679126 I feel like Southwest being an odd duck historically in the wrestling world is kind of a benefit to me. Part of this for me is role playing like I am actually taking over the booking duties of Southwest Championship Wrestling in July, 1983 and have an actual Joe Blanchard owner. This pretty much prevents me from joining up with the NWA so I have never factored a traveling World Champion concept into my plans and I can stay almost entirely isolated in booking except for needing to keep fresh Fabs opponents and the initial deals done to "write out" Southwest mainstays who are going elsewhere. Even joining the AWA was a bit of a fluke, I never planned to do it but needed access to Adnan. Joe did use the AWA World Champ some times so I was able to internally justify it.

Getting big names there besides Bravo and Leduc was something I could put off in favor of guys I wanted to build that would disappear. I almost made it on Bravo or Leduc, but if all I missed out on was those two it was a pretty good draft.
