June 18, 201510 yr comment_5678358 I'm not in the NWA either but an outsider coordinating the dates and being the tiebreaker vote is the best way to assure we don't have one territory monopolizing the champion.
June 18, 201510 yr comment_5678363 Would prefer Matt D as Jim Barnett. NWA president must have a territory.
June 19, 201510 yr comment_5678539 Figured I'd put this here, since it's kinda the catch-all for NWA stuff. As you guys know, I own the hour slot on the USA Network. As I said before, I plan to use the first half hour for Wrestling at the Chase, and I was thinking of opening up the second half to other NWA affiliates. Which brings me to the question of format. Since, if we go this route, you guys would be using it more than I would, I was looking for some input on it. One way to go would be to have it be a rotating hour of hype, each promotion getting the entire thirty minutes for a week to do with as they will. This might not be the best way to go, as you couldn't really get any momentum with it, but it's an idea. Another idea would be a half hour highlight reel from around the Alliance, maybe with a match of the week at the end. This gives everyone a national platform to get over angles, and helps build things like Starrcade a little better. I think the second idea is better, but I'm open to suggestions. On the other hand, if there isn't really enough interest, then I could just run an hour of TV. OR...Matt D could run it, get matches and angles from everyone, and put it together that way. That'd be really cool, though I'm not sure he has the time, nor inclination, to do it.
June 19, 201510 yr comment_5678540 Don Owen will take a seat at the NWA table for now, though there could be issues on the horizon that will lead to problems.
June 20, 201510 yr comment_5679048 We need to figure out the booking of the NWA champion. No matter who it is, I'm calling first dibs for Saturday, December 24th and Monday December 26th Edited dates. Day as right, the # was wrong.
June 20, 201510 yr comment_5679049 If we are requesting dates, WWC respectfully requests the NWA World champion for July 2, September 17 and December 18.
June 20, 201510 yr comment_5679050 If we're doing this, then I'll have him on November 30 and December 24.
June 20, 201510 yr comment_5679074 The champion tours for an entire week in a territory most of the time not just one and done shots.
June 20, 201510 yr comment_5679076 Jack Tunney is up for anything, but expects to lose as president. He does request to be the personal booker of the NWA World Midgets Title.
June 20, 201510 yr comment_5679082 The only place where the champ didn't tour for a week was Puerto Rico. There would be shots here and there and some places where he just did weekends.
June 20, 201510 yr comment_5679083 The only place where the champ didn't tour for a week was Puerto Rico. There would be shots here and there and some places where he just did weekends. I was just about to post that about the champ working weekends in Puerto Rico. In that case, I would request the champ for July 1-3 (or 2-3), September 16-18 (or September 17-18), and December 16-18 (or 17-18).
June 20, 201510 yr comment_5679085 A weekend is what I'm asking for. Anyway, after July 1 is essentially fan fiction. Again, I use Flair in August of 1982 as precedent. He only worked the TV. No Mid South Coliseum match.
June 20, 201510 yr comment_5679087 It was supposed to lead to a match down the road but I think there were money issues on the Jarrett side which shouldn't shock anyone
June 20, 201510 yr comment_5679088 irrelevant. Let's just vote on NWA matters, especially champion before we start on 7/1.
June 21, 201510 yr comment_5679107 I doubt Race would leave Central States hanging high and dry on their biggest show ever >_>
June 21, 201510 yr comment_5679250 Whomever the President and Board end up being, Jim Crockett implores them not to make any drastic changes just for change's sake. With Ric Flair having just lost the NWA World Title back to Harley Race mere days ago in order to set up a rematch and title win at a supercard in the fall, Crockett would like assurance that this will continue as planned. Flair is the man of the hour at the moment and although Crockett doesn't expect Flair to necessarily hold the title for as long as previous champions, deviating from this plan would cause some major issues in JCP's end of the year programs.

June 21, 201510 yr comment_5679318 I believe it should be up to a vote. After July 1, nothing that was *supposed* to happen *needs* to happen. In our alternate timeline, Flair isn't destined to win the belt at Starrcade.
June 21, 201510 yr comment_5679321 It is up to a vote. And I'm pushing for it to still happen regardless.
June 21, 201510 yr comment_5679327 So, NWA President: Bob Geigel or Fred Ward (represented by KrisZ) NWA Board: Eddie Graham Jack Tunney Vince McMahon Stu Hart Don Owen Jim Crocket Am I missing anything?
