June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676602 Ambrose also bringing up that a year ago he was screwed over by Kane and the Authority. How times change...
June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676603 To be fair, I was half-asleep during their first match, but I think I enjoyed this one more. Battleground is two weeks after Owens-Balor in Japan. You can have Owens lose his belt and win Cena's if people feel like he needs that rub. Ambrose gets in the most subtle Dusty tribute of the night, calling Rollins an "errand boy." Lawler referencing the dancing go-go bears was awesome too.
June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676604 Ambrose also bringing up that a year ago he was screwed over by Kane and the Authority. How times change... Ha yeah they are literally running almost the exact same storyline a year later
June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676607 Johnny trying to sneak glances of New Day-Prime Time while performing "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat" wins spot of the night. I'm thinking I GOT THE HORSE RIGHT HERE! HIS NAME IS PAUL REVERE...
June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676610 New Day is fucking great, but I'm hoping Prime Time Players finally win the big one here.
June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676612 I hope people realize that Cena has basically reinvented himself as a spotfest/PWG/ROH inspired guy and done it brilliantly. He gets very little credit for adapting, but he basically did the opposite of what Rey did years ago. To the extent this match was different than the last match it was because of what Cena brought, not Owens (and that's not a knock on Owens).
June 15, 201510 yr Author comment_5676614 New Day vs. Prime Time - Man, I gotta give props to Young for getting in there and playing his best Ricky Morton. - I didn’t expect that result at all. Props to Titus and Young for winning the belts. - Match was fun.
June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676615 I fully expect New Day to get the belts back within a few weeks, but that was a damn cool momemt. I'm really liking the tag division lately.

June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676617 Of course Cena is the one that had to bring new things in this match because he lost the first one. Great storytelling great booking.
June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676618 Happy to see Titus and Darren get a big win, but I'm not sure it was the right move.
June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676619 Man either this ladder match is getting a ton of time or it is going to swamped with crappy filler and run-ins It was great for PTP to get the title but I don't expect them to have the title for more than a month. The money is with the New Day right now
June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676624 Happy to see Titus and Darren get a big win, but I'm not sure it was the right move. This is how I feel. The PTP are a great act but with WWE you always have to worry that because of this New Day will fade into obscurity. WWE has some really strong tag acts but are far too incompetent to utilize more than two of them at a time. I do appreciate how simple the match was: a long FIP, then on the first hot tag Titus wins during his big run of offense.
June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676637 Playing catch up. I think I liked this match more than the last, but if you merged the two of them you'd get something really great. I'd love to have seen a match with this opening session, up to Cena's five knuckle shuffle, the heat segment of the first match, and maybe a shorter version of the wild finishing stretch of the first one. Here, everything felt more deliberate and spaced out more which was better in some ways and worse in others. I would have liked more counters to the finishers instead of the kickouts, but I think moving forward, Cena's frustration in not being able to put Owens away was as giving as anything he did in the first match. I laughed out loud giddily at the kick during the handshake. I'm a horrible person.
June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676652 I thought the figure four around the ring post hurt more due to extra leverage from hanging. How does doing it, but laying on the steps do anything worse? I guess there is still there, but it didn't look very dangerous like Bret's did.
June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676667 Props to Ambrose for not completely blowing off the leg like Shawn in the SS95 match.
June 15, 201510 yr comment_5676671 I was just about to give them credit for giving the world champion a decisive clean victory and then that shit happens. Fucking bullshit.
June 15, 201510 yr Author comment_5676672 What a stupid finish. SHould have just had Ambrose stay buried under the rubble.
